They know he's a pathetic POS, dementia ridden potus, but all they can co.e up with is "it's your fault we had to vote for Biden because of how bad Trump was". They can't point to one positive of Biden’s. It's all Trump, Trump, Trump. It's really pathetic. And if you press them on it, they can't really point to any policy decisions to criticize Trump on. It's all about the feels.

Generally agree but just say I got the feels when I say I think your language is a little harsh. :)

There was never going to be a great way to leave but we have just about screwed it up as bad as humanly possible. We might as well pull back from all foreign military bases and just go for broke at this point. Complete isolationism, and let Europe deal with Russia and China while we spend ourselves into oblivion in welfare programs. It would be a great 50 years or so before we have to fight WW3

It's on Bush to be honest. He decided he wanted to play the stupid game of nation building. Then everyone after that just kept screwing the pooch. And now Biden has stepped in to say hold my beer.
It wasn't just Bush--it was the whole Republican party.

From 2002-2006 its entire war on terror message was "if you don't support these wars fighting terrorists over there, then they're going to come here and kill everyone."

Heck, they were still doing it when Obama was in office. "Cut and run" ring a bell?

Just curious, how many Democrats voted in support of going into Afghanistan and Iraq?

SAS in Dramatic Desert Raid to save troops from Taliban: As Kandahar fell, how our elite soldiers were stranded hundreds of miles from safety... until a daring rescue in the dead of night

A team of Special Air Service soldiers who were surrounded by Taliban hordes in Kandahar have been rescued in a dramatic desert operation.

Around 20 elite SAS troops were left stranded in the province hundreds of miles from friendly forces when the militants took over.

But they could not use Kandahar airfield – once home to 26,000 international troops at the height of the military campaign – because it had already been overrun by Taliban. So the SAS soldiers fought their way to a secret desert location where they went into hiding. The coordinates of the location were then relayed back to Special Forces headquarters in a series of coded messages.

Everything I’m hearing is the Taliban is wanting us to leave and letting it happen.

My guess is they probably realize now is not the time to poke the bear.
The Taliban is not a traditional army, all it takes is one crazy to fire what every he has to start a real war

'We cannot abandon them': French president Emanuel Macron's pointed remark to Joe Biden about Afghanistan that was REMOVED from official White House summary of their call

The White House scrubbed a cutting remark made by French President Emanuel Macron to Joe Biden about 'abandoning' Afghanistan in a summary of the leaders' call.

France's official 'readout' of the August 19 call highlighted how Marcon had upbraided his US counterpart over his sudden withdrawal from Afghanistan, which has triggered chaos as Americans and Afghans granted visas try to flee the Taliban.

'He underscored the absolute need for swift, concrete coordination between the allies to ensure the evacuation of our citizens, Afghan men and women who worked for the allies, and those who are in danger.

'The head of state emphasized our collective moral responsibility toward the Afghan men and women who need our protection and who share our values.

'We cannot abandon them.

But the White House's readout of the same call, published on its official website, omitted Macron's remark about not abandoning Afghanistan.

I’m not defending the Biden administration, but Macron’s comments need to be put in context. I bet we have more troops in Afghanistan today than France ever supplied. I don’t give two craps what Macron thinks should be done in Afghanistan.

That's pretty bad when the French are calling you a coward.

Don't cut and run, Joe: Boris Johnson will plead with Biden not to leave UK troops at mercy of ISIS suicide bombers in Kabul - after President said he 'hopes not to' extend US mission beyond August 31

  • Boris Johnson will hold virtual meeting of G7 leaders on Tuesday after UK, which holds leadership, called for it
Boris Johnson and G7 leaders will plead with Joe Biden to delay the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, amid fears mercy flights will be halted within 48 hours.

The Prime Minister will use a virtual meeting of world leaders on Tuesday to push for more time so thousands are not left behind in the clutches of the Taliban.

Nearly 6,000 UK citizens and Afghan staff had been airlifted out by the RAF by last night, and, according to reports last night, a further 6,000 people will be flown out this week.

But the rescue mission is reliant on the American military retaining control of Kabul airport. Along with losing key air support, British military officials fear Islamic State (IS) may also target UK soldiers at Kabul airport in suicide bomb attacks.

The Taliban will not gain control of Afghanistan he said. Al Quaeda is no longer in Afghanistan he said. There’s been no question of our credibility by our allies he said. And now he says a lot could still go wrong with the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Well, that may be the most accurate statement he’s made yet. Wow, Joe…how very observant. A little late to the party…a lot already went wrong you dolt!

Biden Warns That ‘A Lot Could Still Go Wrong’ In Afghanistan Withdrawal, But Declares History Will Deem It ‘Logical’ And ‘Rational’

We are incredibly short of pilots and simulator instructors right now.

I heard that, too. What happened? It didn't seem to be an issue before covid hit. Was it forced age retirements and nobody coming into the pipeline last year, or something more than that? My brother was telling me that Delta has done an almost complete changeover from larger Boeing planes to Airbus; did covid crash the pilot conversion program or something?
