Actually I don't see stacking coffins in panel vans as dignified by any stretch of the imagination. They should have gone individually in hearses, and the transfer should have been done by troops in formal uniform.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't believe they are sitting on top of each other, hopefully there is a rack for the second level.

It looks like there are two levels by design, but this is not cargo coming home, and they aren't being rushed like they might be at Kabul. I just don't think this shows the respect due.

These service members were treated the same as the 1,000s of others that were transferred/processed through Dover except theirs was televised which has only happened a handful of times that I can remember.

Yes mid-level. Nobody on here can explain why this is a disaster. A disaster is when American lives are lost, has that happened during the withdrawal? “ it’s a sh$t show”, “it’s disorganized.” Boo-frickity-hoo. You all know as well as I do the Taliban we’re gonna take over and a humanitarian crises was coming. That’s the fault of 20 years of sh$t policy.

I still get my son with that every time. So far, he has never caught me and tried to give me back a broken index finger which suddenly became ambushed 5 to 1.....I only do it maybe once a year. But i have probably gotten him a dozen times with that.


I have a lot of fun with "look! A squirrel!" At work or with the guys also . That buys 2 seconds distraction about 90% of the time ..gotta point in whatever direction though, and mix up what you say.. such as ",look at the SIZE of that thing! Or "look at the TEETH on that!" Etc etc...while grabbing the last taco, slice of pizza, the remote for the TV or stereo....pretty much works in any situation. Roughly 70% of the time, it works every time. If the boys are consuming adult beverages it is nearly foolproof .

My money is on Biden was advised keeping Bagram would be helpful but would require more than the 2500 existing troops and he asked for options that didn't involve sending any more troops in. Of course in the end we had to send another 3500 plus to deal with this error.

I’m sure several other advisors told him it was a much better move to execute the withdrawal while the Taliban was tending to their poppy fields. But here we are.

Well when they clarified that Bagram is away from everything and you can see everything then it makes a lot of sense. This was the biggest bungling of an operation in modern history.
