It's no coincedence that all the "fact checkers" for the news outlets seemed to have disappeared after President Trump. Biden has told lie after lie after lie about Covid and Afghanistan for the last few weeks. If you have the vaccine you won't get Covid, We won't leave Americans behind, Al Qaeda is gone in Afghanistan, The Taliban is not blocking Americans from getting to the airport etc.....

One newspaper said after this administration took over that they would not be "fact checking" it.

If you were an American in Afghanistan, and knew for a year the plan was for the US troops to exit. If the withdraw was reiterated by two presidents. If you saw warnings such as this, months ago:

How much is the government to blame for you being stuck there today? And how much of the blame is on you?

So let's say I'm over there trying to get my family out and the State Dept is dragging their feet on clearing them what's my option - abandon my family or stay and keep pressing State to get their shizz together so we can get out?

IOW - I don't think it's a simple as you can leave whenever you want.

The President of the United States said last month that there was no reason to believe the Taliban would overtake the Afghan Government before the end of the year. So American's should have assumed Biden was lying? It's a good assumption but some Americans actually believed the dementia ridden fool. Our allies also believed him and had to scramble to get their people evacuated. Stop making excuses for the worst President of our lifetime. Jimmy Carter can rest easy now as Biden easily has him beat and it's only 7 months in.
