He lied under oath in a deposition for the case. Linda Tripp taped conversations with Monica Lewinsky detailing the lie, then turned those tapes over to Ken Starr, who was the SP investigating Whitewater. Whitewater was a waste of time itself, but when someone provides you an audio recording proving the President committed an actual crime, what was Starr supposed to do? Ignore it?

No one should be above the law. Not even the President.

You don't think Starr should have investigated the perjury? Despite audio evidence that the POTUS had committed perjury? I would disagree on that. Without those tapes, there's no case, so you leave it alone. But having those tapes in hand, proof of a crime, you have to move forward IMO. No one should be above the law.
