You mean it's as if we have another incompetent moron running the country, shocking I know. Out of 330 million people, this is the best we can come up with?? We would be better served just holding a random lottery of all the the people in the US who meet the requirements to become President every four years. I am quite confident I could make equally as bad decisions with zero experience at being a politician.

Dozens of working dogs were abandoned by the US in Afghanistan after the troop withdrawal. According to Pentago Press Secretary John Kirby, these dogs were in the care of the Kabul Small Animal Rescue charity, whose founder had petitioned the military to evacuate the animals from the country

There was a time I would have really doubted it myself but nothing surprises me with our .gov or senior military offices these days.
Well, when the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff says he's trying to understand white rage while letting 13 diverse members of the military die from his incompetence, nothing surprises me anymore either.

If trump did that, peta would be in the streets. Not to mention the helicopters we left them are being used to hang people. What kind of idiot leaves that, or the dogs. Pathetic leaders.

Radio caller (former Ranger) - I got one question for the media to ask Biden. If Hunter was stuck behind enemy lines would you do anything different. Point is as CIC you have to treat your citizens like family otherwise your in the wrong job.

Animal rights groups are working to save dozens of helpless service dogs left behind when the U.S. military completed its withdrawal on Tuesday local time from Afghanistan.

Dr. Robin R. Ganzert, CEO of Washington, DC,-based American Humane, said on Monday dozens of contract dogs have been left behind to be “tortured and killed at the hands of our enemies.”

These are the people that Joe is going to negotiate with to get the remaining Americans out that he left behind?

That's just old Joe being folksy with the Taliban again, he didn't really mean it. They were just having some good, old fashioned humor at the expense of the dead soldiers in Afghanistan, no harm there. I bet they all met up at the local goat pen afterwards and drank some Madees Khoury together. They are swell!

Washington Post calls Afghanistan a 'moral disaster,' hits Biden admin for strategic and tactical mistakes

Thousands who aided US war effort remain stranded in Taliban-controlled country

The Washington Post editorial board deemed the Biden administration's chaotic withdrawal of U.S .troops and evacuation efforts out of Afghanistan a "moral disaster" in a new editorial.

"America is leaving thousands of people behind in Afghanistan. This is a moral disaster," the Washington Post headline read, referring to not only Americans but Afghans in harm's way.

"As security worsened in the wake of a horrific terrorist attack at the airport last Thursday, and as U.S. troops prepared for their own departure on Monday, time and space ran out for these people," the editors wrote. "This is a moral disaster, one attributable not to the actions of military and diplomatic personnel in Kabul – who have been courageous and professional, in the face of deadly dangers – but to mistakes, strategic and tactical, by Mr. Biden and his administration."

So do we blame Trump for the 11 service members killed in Afghanistan last year? 600k Americans dead from COVID? This is all fake outrage..it’s a terrible situation but dumb$$& right wingers pick snd choose when to be be outraged over the death of American troops. No different when it comes to We back the Blue…well not on Jan 6, or those who testify against the idiots who broke into the Capitol
You sir, are an idiot. Dying from a global pandemic and being killed in an ambush after being dropped into a hostile situation that could have and should have been avoided with better planning are two very different things. You are the ultimate hypocrite because you have put your politics above all else, and in doing so you **** on the lives of the 13 Americans that gave their lives because our President is a certified idiot. No doubt, Trump was a certified obnoxious egomaniac ass, but he did not screw up to this level. Attempting to blame him for COVID deaths is absurd. But Biden could have and should have secured the evacuation of American civilians and allies before ever pulling the troops. Yet you feel the need to deflect from his guilt in the situation. I have zero respect for people like you. You suck as a human being. But I still hope you never have to face what the grieving families of these fallen American heroes are going through.

Fair enough
So I've been reading some of the responses from the grieving families of the 13 service people that were killed. Seems like Biden screwed up his meeting with them too.

Families of Fallen Marines Lash Out at Biden after Meeting: ‘This Isn’t about You’ (yahoo.com)

I honestly do not recall ever reading of a reaction like this to a President in a similar situation. It surprises me just how insensitive a picture they paint of Biden.
I typically try not to read too much into these meetings because these families are overcome with fresh grief. But one common denominator I've read from their experiences that sticks with me, and I think really sucks is Joe telling them he understands as he lost a son. While I get he is attempting to identify with them, as CIC you make this about them, let them grieve their way. If they want to be upset at you and get it off their chest you let them, if they want comfort of an embrace you give it to them. They have given the most precious possession they have or ever will have to this country under your leadership. Joe would do well to embrace that and own it, not to make it about him or his son.

I grew up a Navy brat. Thankfully, my dad always came home. I knew families that were not as fortunate. I don't recall ever hearing remarks like the ones I've heard about Biden from grieving families.
