Biden admin faced intense criticism for its handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal
One year ago today, Vice President Kamala Harris was meeting with child actors for her infamous staged video as Kabul was being surrounded by the Taliban.
After the release of the space-themed YouTube special, entitled "Get Curious with Vice President Harris," Harris received flack online for her video after it was revealed the children expressing their astronautical excitement to see her were actually child actors.
As she was filming the soon-to-implode video, though, Kabul was being surrounded by the Taliban and would eventually fall into the terrorists' hands.

One year ago today.
All gave some.
Thirteen gave all.
And I still can’t see why we purposely and hurriedly put them in that untenable situation at that airport.

Nearly a year after the last US soldier left Afghanistan, a House Republican who served on the ground in the war-torn country is calling for a Congressional committee to get to the bottom of the Biden administration’s withdrawal.
- Rep. Michael Waltz, the first Green Beret in Congress, is the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Readiness on the House Armed Services Committee
Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida, the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, told DailyMail.com during an exclusive interview that he believes the White House and its Democrat allies have swept the controversial operation and its ensuing fallout ‘under the rug.’
He said it was clear to him, as a member of the Armed Services Committee, that the Biden administration wants to move on 12 months after facing bipartisan criticism over the operation.
‘I mean, that's obvious. And I think Democrats in Congress want it swept under the rug. I mean, we've seen, what, one hearing…Armed Services Committee, and then one in Foreign Affairs…that was determined that it'd be classified, so it was closed,’ Waltz said. ‘I think it's disgraceful and it's - it's unbecoming, and the families deserve better.’

Please don't put this woman in the White House...Nikki Haley: 'War and chaos in the world stems' from US Afghanistan withdrawal
President Joe Biden 's deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan was a precursor to the Russia-Ukraine conflict , according to former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley .
Haley, a speculated 2024 Republican presidential candidate, condemned the "dangerous message" Biden's lack of leadership in Afghanistan conveyed to allies and adversaries during a question and answer session in London after delivering Policy Exchange's Colin Cramphorn Memorial Lecture.
"The reason I think we have war and chaos in the world stems from that point. And we have an obligation and a responsibility to make that right," she told the crowd at the British think tank. "The pain and humiliation that Americans feel over what happened in Afghanistan is going to last a long time," she added.
Haley urged Biden to provide economic and military support to Taiwan amid China's increased aggression toward its neighbor after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"It's not a matter of if, it's when there's an invasion," she said. "If we just continue to tiptoe around the whole issue of Taiwan, China is going to continue to tiptoe forward as they fly planes over Taiwan."
