Nikki Haley: 'War and chaos in the world stems' from US Afghanistan withdrawal

President Joe Biden 's deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan was a precursor to the Russia-Ukraine conflict , according to former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley .

Haley, a speculated 2024 Republican presidential candidate, condemned the "dangerous message" Biden's lack of leadership in Afghanistan conveyed to allies and adversaries during a question and answer session in London after delivering Policy Exchange's Colin Cramphorn Memorial Lecture.

"The reason I think we have war and chaos in the world stems from that point. And we have an obligation and a responsibility to make that right," she told the crowd at the British think tank. "The pain and humiliation that Americans feel over what happened in Afghanistan is going to last a long time," she added.

Haley urged Biden to provide economic and military support to Taiwan amid China's increased aggression toward its neighbor after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"It's not a matter of if, it's when there's an invasion," she said. "If we just continue to tiptoe around the whole issue of Taiwan, China is going to continue to tiptoe forward as they fly planes over Taiwan."

Biden admin faced intense criticism for its handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal

One year ago today, Vice President Kamala Harris was meeting with child actors for her infamous staged video as Kabul was being surrounded by the Taliban.

After the release of the space-themed YouTube special, entitled "Get Curious with Vice President Harris," Harris received flack online for her video after it was revealed the children expressing their astronautical excitement to see her were actually child actors.

As she was filming the soon-to-implode video, though, Kabul was being surrounded by the Taliban and would eventually fall into the terrorists' hands.

Politico reports Afghanistan pullout as the ‘dark cloud’ over Biden’s approval rating, he likely can’t recover

The piece noted how Biden's approval numbers have never recovered since the foreign policy debacle

In a Politico piece published Wednesday, author Elise Labott explained that President Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal was the "the moment his presidency started to spiral out of control" and something he has yet to recover from.

Intent on figuring out the exact moment things went wrong for Biden, considering his consistently low poll numbers and how even most Democrats would like a new party standard-bearer come 2024, Labott looked at the president's approval ratings before and after the disastrous Afghanistan pullout.

"In the months before Afghanistan fell to the Taliban late last summer, Biden was enjoying a honeymoon period since taking office. His average approval rating was about 53 percent," the reporter noted, adding that "within days" of the withdrawal, "Biden’s poll numbers went sideways, with a majority of Americans disappointed in his handling of the withdrawal."

EXCLUSIVE 'They know it was a botched mission': Parents of Taylor Hoover, a Marine killed in Kabul airport blast last year, tear into Biden administration for claiming that Afghanistan withdrawal was a success as they prepare for anniversary

  • Taylor Hoover was one of 13 US service personnel killed at Kabul airport last year
The parents of a Marine killed in a suicide attack at Kabul airport last year say it is a 'slap in the face' every time a Biden administration official says the Afghan withdrawal was a success, and that more could have been done to protect their son.

Taylor Hoover, a 31-year-old Marine Corps staff sergeant from Utah, was one of the 13 U.S. personnel who died on August 26 last year when an Islamic State suicide bomber detonated his explosives.

His family will mark the anniversary by laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday. But they say lingering grief at his loss is mixed with anger and frustration at officials who continue to declare the operation to be a success.

And they say the more they learn about their son's final days, the more they believe his death could have been avoided.

'They know it was a botched mission,' said Hoover's mother Kelly Henson, 52.

'They know it was ridiculously thrown together.

But biden has 87k irs thugs now. So you have that

One year ago today.

All gave some.

Thirteen gave all.

And I still can’t see why we purposely and hurriedly put them in that untenable situation at that airport.

Like everything else these dolts hope their incompetence is forgotten about with time. Even if there is a terrorist among the unvetted Afghans who were allowed in it will be someone else's fault and a reason for them to increase the surveillance state.

US Army Colonel is Branded a MURDERER by ex-special forces for condemning four bus-loads of 300 ORPHANS, Americans and Christians and to death at hands of Taliban after ordering them off Kabul Airport during chaotic withdrawal a year ago

A US Army colonel is being slammed as a murderer for turning away four bus-loads of Americans, friendly Afghans, and 300 orphans during the country's evacuation from Kabul Airport last year - likely condemning them to their deaths.

The order from the unnamed colonel was delivered on August 25, less than a week before the last troops were withdrawn from the country as the Taliban tightened their grip on the city.

EXCLUSIVE: Top Republican demands a Congressional committee dedicated to the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal because Biden and the Democrats want it 'swept under the rug' and service members' families 'deserve better'

  • Rep. Michael Waltz, the first Green Beret in Congress, is the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Readiness on the House Armed Services Committee
Nearly a year after the last US soldier left Afghanistan, a House Republican who served on the ground in the war-torn country is calling for a Congressional committee to get to the bottom of the Biden administration’s withdrawal.

Rep. Michael Waltz of Florida, the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, told DailyMail.com during an exclusive interview that he believes the White House and its Democrat allies have swept the controversial operation and its ensuing fallout ‘under the rug.’

He said it was clear to him, as a member of the Armed Services Committee, that the Biden administration wants to move on 12 months after facing bipartisan criticism over the operation.

‘I mean, that's obvious. And I think Democrats in Congress want it swept under the rug. I mean, we've seen, what, one hearing…Armed Services Committee, and then one in Foreign Affairs…that was determined that it'd be classified, so it was closed,’ Waltz said. ‘I think it's disgraceful and it's - it's unbecoming, and the families deserve better.’

Biden's Silence one year after the Humiliating Withdrawal from Afghanistan is Shameful. Those who fought and died deserve to know why he led us into disaster, writes the Marine sergeant whose battlefield image became an icon of the war

Nearly a year ago, President Joe Biden was speaking at a briefing when he turned to take a question from a reporter.

It was August 29, 2021 – just three days after an Al Qaeda suicide bomber blew himself up outside the gates of Kabul airport killing 13 American troops, including 11 Marines, and dozens of Afghan civilians.

'Mr. President, on Afghanistan . . .' the journalist started.

'No, I'm not going to answer Afghanistan now,' snapped Biden, the commander-in-chief responsible for the disaster, as he walked away from the podium.

People saw with their own eyes desperate locals trying to flee a murderous regime that would send their country back decades. Women, children and infants waited for days around the airport, standing in filthy canals, packed in like animals – praying for a seat that would fly them to freedom

  • The Biden administration faces questions a year after troops left Afghanistan
A year after the last American soldier left Afghanistan, a former special forces linguist who has helped hundreds of people flee the Taliban accused Washington of turning its back on tens of thousands of its allies in the country and of endangering the lives of refugees by focusing on rescuing Joe Biden's translator.

The U.S. Blunders that caused the rapid collapse of Afghanistan - after 20 years and $90 Billion in funding: Government report slams Pentagon's 'abrupt' withdrawal that left $7.2 Billion of weapons to the Taliban

Poor planning by the U.S. military before the 'abrupt' Afghanistan withdrawal led to the rapid collapse of the Western-backed government as the Taliban overran the country in August 2021, a damning new watchdog report has said.

The scathing analysis by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) found the American decision to pull out 'destroyed the morale' of the Afghan National Security Force (ANDSF), and the 300,000 local troops were destined to fail without U.S. support.

The withdrawal was 'abrupt and uncoordinated' and gave war-ravaged locals the impression that the U.S. was 'simply handing Afghanistan over to a Taliban government-in-waiting', the report continues. Members of the Taliban are pictured celebrating a victory in March 2020
