Talked to Bray just now. Said he's declaring.

I think people are very quick to dismiss the idea of Worley starting and doing a good job. Take away the CP running the wrong route against Vandy and Worley was 8-10 while Bray was 11-29. CBJ has said he can adjust his offense to fit his QB. He does not have to play any certain style of QB. I think Bray leaves for only 1 reason. CBJ will not tell him he is the starter in 2013 no matter what. He would have to earn the job and I think that alone will make Tyler try his luck in the draft. If Bray came back and lost the starting job, it would be a total disaster for his draft stock next year.

People ignoring the many many signs of Bray's inability to lead this team realize how stupid you sound, right?

He did lead the offense, you do realize that? Its a miracle we were even in many of the games with our defense. and look at his head coach. Enough said.

He didn't lead well against FL this year. Completely gave up. He did that often this year once he got behind. Frustrating? Yes. But that is when he needs to lead, not collapse. He didn't lead well against UK last year. Completely gave up and we can't say that was another defensive blow out. He is not someone who pumps up his team but rather sulks and pouts when things get rough. He has racked up stats against weak teams and we see what good that does. Sometmes being a leader means more than just throwing a ball. Tyler Brat doesn't have it and never will.

I love Tyler Bray's arm but he does tend to disappear in big games. The one game that I felt like he continued to show good performance was GA and he did everything he needed to do there we just had no defense.
The Worley thing will be interesting. I wonder if he will ever see significant time. Think Peterman fits the Jones preferred offense. Although I think if Bray stayed another year then Jones would be more than happy to run pro style.

We'll see when he tears it up in the NFL under a good coach.

No, they don't, ergo the continued insults thrown at those who understand the difference in being a young adult (i.e. not being mature) and immature behavior.

I was under the impression that HS stats are qualifiers for getting the job in the first place...

You were wrong. How well you play in practice after arriving is the qualifier for getting the job in the first place.

HS stats are qualifiers for getting recruited.

Clearly you know much more about recruiting and analyzing candidates than I do..

Clearly.

Best news in a while. My luck he'll end up staying... smh

Another dogshlt remark by the resident eater of dogshlt troll.

Good, SEE YA!! Bray
Will miss patterson and hunter though

oooh, and he has a new sockpuppet. Brand new and fresh!

not comparing Bray to Manning, but it's similar, if even by just a little bit, to Indy saying hello to Luck after watching Peyton leave.
You don't want to look like a fool by wanting to wave bye to a guy that put up great numbers, but I think most fans just want a fresh beginning and support new leadership at the HC and on the team. I don't think that's really a knock on Bray. Maybe people don't want to see a frustrated Bray pack it in again? I don't. Was some of that on the panic of Chaney and Dooley? Yep. But I'd rather see a qb fight his ass off, run for a few first downs, and take control of an offense.
New beginning.

Just my opinion:

I understand both sides of the argument, and definitely think losing a talent level like Tyler Bray is never something you wish on a team. However, The TB that we all wanted is not the one that we got and/or isn't the one that will ever exist now or in the future. His attitude and willingness to quit does hurt a team more than he probably realizes, and more than some fans want to admit. There are teams with less talented and more motivated Quarterbacks that could have won games that we lost. Remember his Orange and White meltdown?

Anyway, my point is, although he is extremely talented we could win more games and actually have a better team with a different player, but I do not know that we even have that player on the roster. The excitement level and work ethic a quarterback like Johnny Football brings to the game actually makes their defense work harder and play better. It is easy to lose your edge when your "leader" is cussing and sulking around like a little kid.
