Talked to Bray just now. Said he's declaring.

Go away.

Worley sucks, Peterman's still a kid. We'll be lucky if Tyler Stay sticks around.

Harsh words there man...the kid broke a slew of NATIONAL records in High School against solid competition. Sucks? I'd say a huge level of poor coaching to his abilities at this point makes him underprepared and
maybe a little quick to make the wrong decision. However, with his history he SHOULD thrive in CBJs' quick strike offense..

He may not light up the books (or even get off the bench for that matter)but the kid doesn't suck...PLUS he wears orange for the Vols on Saturdays..

I'm thinking Tyler Bray should stay and hope he does, but not getting the negative comments about Worley. The kid looked very sharp this year and should have gotten more PT imo. He read the field quickly and threw the ball with precision and good velocity. Coach stated that his INT was on the receiver not being where he was supposed to be. I have confidence in Worley and look forward to seeing him play. We haven't seen Peterman yet, but should also have confidence in his abilities. In the QB department, Tennessee should be good to go.

Tyler Brat just needs to go away. Transfer, NFL, drop out; we'll accept any of the above. I have to believe once the new coach reviews the film of 2012, he will see the same thing many fans see and decide he needs to start fresh with a new signal caller.

Worley/Peterman; you're up.

I love how you're calling 21 year old kid a brat. Really? Id be pissed too watching the defense give up points after points. I saw a kid play his heart out and cry on the sidelines. The real cancer on the team was dooley!

Anybody who doesn't think Tyler Bray is our best option next year is probably on meth.... I can't see a kid who hasn't taken a snap in the SEC coming in and replacing someone who will probably get drafted in the first 3 rounds. I totally see Tyler's faults and his lack of concentration at times, but maybe he is frustrated he leads his offense to 44 points AND STILL LOSES!!! This isn't the Pac-12.....When he is hurt and Matt Simms is out there butchering the offense the defense plays great, then his coach "Precious" who might have down syndrome comes in and changes the entire defensive scheme. The offense was NOT THE PROBLEM this season, anything you can blame on Tyler you can throw back at every defensive player/coach on the field.

I agree with you, but was surprised how good johnny football done as a freshman. I doubt our backups are him though

Tyler Brat is a punk on AND OFF the field. Yeah I see him playing hard when he wants. And then I see him play (at UK in 2011 and the 2nd half of FL in 2012) when he has completekly given up. Completely given up. And at the time he gave up in the above games, neither game was being lost totally by the D at the time. Another example: How about SC in 2012? Again poor play on HIS part. He plays with the emotions of a spoiled brat and the name fits him well. We as UT fans can only hope he once again doesn't listen and does what he thinks is best for him and leaves K-town for the NFL. And he can sit on the practice squad sometime next year and wonder what happened.

He's a hack compared to Bray.

Them's just the facts.

Worley may not pan out to be anything like Bray from a physical ceiling standpoint (I would bet the bank he's a much better student of the game). At any rate the guy hasn't really had any time to shine given to him except against world beating defenses his freshman season..I in no way shape, form, or fashion am rallying the point that he's better or even comparable to Bray at this level. Just that he doesn't suck...

Oh and while we're on a "them's just facts" kick..

Tyler Bray as a HS Sr.

Passing Yards per game 225.5
Passes Complete 185
Comp. % .613
Pass TDs 41

Justin Worley as a HS Sr.

Passing Yards per game 354.2
Passes Complete 428
Comp. % .727
Pass TDs 64.

But you're right Worley is just a hack in comparison.

I just heard that Coach Butch is going to get Johnnie Football to transfer to Tennessee! Whoo woooo!!! Spread the word!

I'm pretty sure the grades and class rumors have been shot down.

Really, the last that I have seen is that Bray and CP both would probably have been ineligible for a bowl game. You have a link that says they were academically OK? Would love to see it, however, it will make me feel worse about CP leaving.

Nega, give it up. CBJ recruited Peterman. Bray is done here and really should move on. Worley will most likely ride the bench next year or at best the two will play interchangeably.

I am so sick of people pinning bad news on this hire. Stop trolling and either get on board with our Vols or GTFO and go find another teams board to spread your negativity. And to those that diss Hunter, Bray, and Patterson, and talk about how were better off without them and so on, please GTFO as well. If your truly a Vol fan then support your beloved Vols on their future endeavors and move on! The negativity on these boards are becoming an epidemic and the media are laughing at us because of such garbage. Do you ever want to return to prominence?? If so, you can actually help by being the type of fans that support your teams, show up to games, buy merchandise, and stick by them through thick and thin! No recruit wants to come to a place to be ridiculed when things are going as planned. It may seem trivial, but you negavols are definitely hurting our rebuilding. GO VOLS!

David Greene was my HS QB....I'd like to know what his stats were in HS. Because he was awesome but we ran 80% of the time, and he turned out just fine in college. If just for the "game experience" Bray is our best option if he stays.

Did someone just quote HS stats to me?

lol?

I've seen them both throw.

Worley is absolute crapola compared to Bray. And no amount of HS stats (lol) will change that.

I was under the impression that HS stats are qualifiers for getting the job in the first place...

Clearly you know much more about recruiting and analyzing candidates than I do..

I apologize

People exicted about the possibility of Bray leaving, understand how stupid you sound right?

Bray's biggest challenge if he stays is his own arrogance and immaturity.

Dooley does not possess the skills to mature kids like that, which is why Bray has not developed the way he should have. Butch Jones seems to bring a whole different approach, and Bray could wind up staying, but sitting on the bench. Part of his decision to stay or go should hinge on his openness to humility

I think DD's biggest problem was that he didn't have the job security to handle Bray the way he needed to be handled. And I think Bray realized that, consciously or subconsciously and took advantage of the situation. Not blaming either one of them--just think it was bad timing and bad karma. Butch has more job security initially and won't have to tolerate the immaturity. If Bray stays, I think it helps both of them.
