Talked to Bray just now. Said he's declaring.

Bray will be holding a clip board for a while, Patterson will be returning kicks because he doesn't know how to run routes and Hunter won't take a hit over the middle. I think we'll be upgrading. Coach Jones will recruit kids to come in and give their All for Tennessee, unlike some posters on this board. Welcome aboard coach, get to work!

I love the amount of bashing that a QB who tried his heart out for our university under one of the most inept head coaches we've ever seen. Also OP has not talked with Bray and knows nothing, he's been starting troll threads all day.

Heh? I think Bray proved time and time again that he did the exact opposite. He gave up way too many times this year. Sorry, but I don't believe for one second that he tried as hard as he could have.

Said Hunter and Patterson plan to also. this hire sealed it. good luck to them in the future! GBO!

But but someone said he was well known on the radio!!!!! oh noes!!!!!

So I stick up for somebody and you start namecalling because you don't agree with him? I'm stating that yes, Sheezy would have access to Tyler Bray because he has the connections considering, he was given insider status with the program when he wrote a book about the 2008 season, B: is known by just about everyone associated with the program, and C: has a Grude on for James Franklin.

lol get the **** out. I wanted gruden as much as anyone but you didn't talk to Bray. You're an idiot. They probably will leave but they didn't tell you anything.

Bray will be a mid-round pick, get relegated to a practice squad for a couple of years, then fade away. He's very comparable to Ainge.

Normally I think it would be somewhat ill-advised for a player to declare after such a season. It's a mighty weak spring-board in my opinion. Yes I know he put up some good overall numbers, but he was also very inconsistent, shaky and really inspired very little confidence in many of the games. He was as likely to contribute to a busted play as a pass completion, it often seemed. Kind of a loose cannon.

That said, Bray is in kind of a tenuous position...I don't know that it would raise his NFL stock a huge deal to stay for a season of starting over and to assume a role in an offense in which his style likely wouldn't really fit.

If I were on the NFL side of things, there are a number of kids I'd probably look at before Bray because of the frequent shakiness in his performance and a perceived lack of being really grounded. I guess I'm trying to say he just didn't look to me like a quarterback who is really comfortable in his own skin.

That said, he will get his chance somewhere in an NFL uniform, and I certainly wish him the very best.

If Bray and his family have any sense at all they'll ask Peyton for advice ... and then take it.

I wonder if this Bray twin the OP met is the one that was updating the guys telling us Gruden was done and signed two months ago?
