Tarik Black interest

Ah, see? That's why I think he's better suited at the 3 than the 2.

He's definitely better suited as a 3. Not a good enough shooter or ball-handler at the 2. He definitely won't play any 2 unless injuries and/or foul trouble force the issue.

So I (or anyone else) can't say for certain what would happen in this made up scenario?

Shocker.

Lighten up, Francis. The Stokes stuff got you on edge?

No...but most who follow Tennessee basketball realize if anyone was going to lose minutes it wouldn't be Richardson, Martin loves the kid.

The 2/3 is pretty dang locked down assuming Hubbs is half of what he's hyped to be...

2: McRae 30/ Hubbs 10
3: Richardson 25/ Hubbs 15

In Richardson and McRae you're talking about McRae who was a first team all-sec player, and Richardson as a guy who Martin had starting over McRae...I don't see either losing big minutes to a guy who couldn't start in C-USA.

Barton's best shot at PT would be beating out Golden for the starting gig, I honestly haven't watched enough of him to know if he'd beat out golden, but I'm guessing not. He would be very valuable to us in the sense that he could be a 15 minute a game backup, see more minutes if there's injuries or foul troubles, or replace golden if he has another mid season lull...my guess though is that Barton is looking for a bigger role than that, seeing as that's why he left Memphis.

Quite an active imagination.

If Stokes announces he is leaving, Black could be in play. He has interest from Duke, Kansas and Minnesota. Martin would have to catch up quick.

Headed to Kansas. That team is gonna be crazy good next season.

Perhaps, depends on how well Wiggins actually does this year. Kansas will be a title-contending team most likely but I'm very confident in Maymon/Stokes/McRae leading this team next year. One of, if not the best, front court combos in the nation plus a potential all-american at guard. (I'm stretching here I know)

For the first time in a few years I actually feel like we have the tools to beat most teams, ESPECIALLY if we get Barton. Hell, if we get Barton, we should be favored in the Atlantis tournament.

Kansas will be a top 5 team in Atlantis. No way we will be favored against them. With Barton, we should be second seed, IMO.

Who's your potential all-american? Hubbs? You admitted it was a stretch, but come on man. Let's see him average at least 8ppg first. That'd be good for his Freshman season.

This. If not, he's reeeeeaaaaallllly stretching.

Agree. I can see the hype for McRae. He was first team all-SEC, probably runner up for SEC POY. He really got better the second half of the year, if he played all year like he did post January, he likely would've made an all-American team.

Black to Kansas great week for them also getting the number one player they are reloading quickly.
