TCU left out

What doesn't help TCU is their loss to the other team they were tied at the hip to. People keep saying TCU is more deserving than Baylor but how is that possible if you lost to the team? Had they had a championship game then Baylor is the division winner and thus has an extra game.

Doesn't matter, the committee is rigged.

Why did Archie back out? He saw it coming (health reasons my azz).

Why did Minnesota mysteriously jump into the Top 25 the week of the tOSU game?

Why did Minnesota remain in the Top 25 after losing to tOSU??

How did Minnesota finish in the Top 25???

Can we say RIGGED???

Now we all agree with me. This committee is a joke. The BCS computers should choose the top 4 teams.

This point has probably already been made in this thread but I'll say that it's really funny that all the chaos that playoff zealots wished and prayed for, came to fruition the first year they got what they wanted. :) I believed all these years that playoffs were inevitable and when the receipts come in?...big money gonna big money...this thing will be at 16 before the Peyton Manning twins get to second grade.

I think Minnesota is mediocre, but they were 7-2 when they played OSU. You won't find many power 5 teams who are 7-2 and aren't going to be ranked. They lost to OSU by 1 score, that was the best anyone had played them, outside of VT. Don't have a problem with them not being dropped too far either.

I think BU beat more "quality" teams at the top but they also beat a boatload of pathetic teams. Having the 128th weakest OOC schedule or whatever it was, is an embarrassment. Art bragging that OU was the best road win in the country was stupid as well. Beating an 8-4 team on the road is not that much of an accomplishment.

A message was sent over this whole ordeal; if you want in, play someone.

First off, yes I would like Briles to drop one OOC cupcake per year but which program will agree to a home and home series? Out side of to TCU we have been curbstomping any and every team that comes to Waco in recent years. Neutral site game are out of the question as we've just renewed our series with Tech at Jerry World.Won't drop the series with Rice or SMU as they are a) natural rivals from theold SWC and b) located in fertile recruiting grounds.
As for strength of OOC, that's talking head crap. Overall
SOS is what counts. According to Sagain's CFRankings, Baylor's SOS is 58 and tOSU's is 53. Baylor's lone loss came at #25 WVU and tOSU' loss came at home to #52 VaTech (per Sagain). He has Minnesota ranked at #34 with an SOS of 50.

Why is Baylor being asked to upgrade our OOC and tOSU isn't? Art schedules weak teams...the BIG 10 makes them members.

If overall SOS counts then you answered your own question. OSU 53 > BU 58. I hate OSU as much as anyone, probably has to do with growing up in FL around all the damn snowbirds from OH, and hate that they got in. I wish "all" aspects of the resume had been in BU's favor so the committee couldn't have found one thing to hitch their wagon to in OSU's case.

Scheduling may be tough in the next 2-3 yrs with most schedules set but there shouldn't be an issue scheduling a home and home with a power 5. We've managed to find one it seems like every year, and of course we get them as they're on their ascent and we're on our fall.

The recruiting ties to Houston and DFW seem overblown. You'll be in DFW every other year playing TCU and the programs there, outside of TCU aren't threats to BU. We liked to play Memphis in bball to get in front of HS guys and show we can compete/beat Memphis, who's major program in the state and country. I just don't see BU and SMU, Rice or UH on the same level. Will UH play Baylor? If so, I'd assume that's step-up from Rice. Combine that with dropping the FCS games and a resume likely looks much better.
