I didn't get to watch all of the game, but during the time I was watching, the home plate umpire was very erratic with the strike zone. I watched until Tennessee went down by 3 runs in the 3rd inning. I got up this morning wondering how it turned out. What a great way to start my day. Maybe 2 long balls will stop all the talk about LNS being the reason Tennessee hits so many home runs. Dreiling nearly had a third one on the winning hit. Watched the highlights on youtube this morning. Great game. GO VOLS!

Fla St fans are on YouTube complaining that Burke went on that check swing and the game should have been over, think they got cheated. Hope we can play them again and give them a brutal beat down next time.
Yes, and I am still upset about Antonio Reeves of Kentucky stepping on that baseline and scoring during a crucial time late in the game at Thompson Bolling. This makes it a little better.

The 2024 Tennessee Volunteers baseball team could have Be Legendary by Pop Evil as their theme song after that unforgettable amazing comeback win.

The Volunteers showed they had the heart of a champion in a game that had a high amount of adversity.

If they can find the definition of a check swing in the rule book, by all means. It’s 100% a judgement call.

Technically, from what I have seen, the NCAA actually does have a rule for what a check swing is. It was circulating around Twitter last night. MLB does not. But the NCAA does.

The mental gymnastics involved with their argument is impressive. Wasn’t a fan of the umps zone all night and felt he gave FSU more of the corner than Vols. Kind of forced Causey and Combs out of the game. Stamos was hot at the calls and not about being pulled if you read his lips. Then they isolate one of the many mistakes when their team couldn’t get 3 outs while up 3 runs.

be happy, the games threads are an emotional roller coaster for sure...I've stopped reading thru the entire thread for my own sanity
Followed up the post game part of it. The negas drove me off pretty early on. A VolNation game thread is what it is. Unless we jump out to a huge early lead and maintain it, the negas move in, squat, and piss all over everything. Must have never read or studied The General’s Maxims.

Can I triple like this somehow?

If the team is dwelling on this as much as the fans, they won't make it past the next game.

Congrats… means absolutely nothing..

I’ve never understood that mindset… doom and gloom and tell everyone how bad our team is… When you’re wrong, gladly eat crow because everyone is happy…miserable way to enjoy sports.
I’ve never agree with everything The Tall Guy says, and many other posters as well, but he has the ability to express his opinions and emotions on this site. I, for one, am glad we aren’t subjected to groupthink on this site.

Nothing wrong with expressing emotions. But, if my mindset and emotions were negative and depressing 99.9% of the time, like some posters on here, I would just quit watching sports. These negative posters haven’t enjoyed a game all year. In any sport…
