Team looked tired playing Georgia

I think you saw a team that got hit in the mouth and looked like a deer in headlights. They didn’t know what to do. When you don’t execute and start thinking, you cannot play fast. So you could say they looked tired, but they wasn’t. They were just getting beat every play

They were tired . . . of being outmanned at the LOS. Jalen Carter disrupted everything we wanted to do by crushing the pocket and eating double teams so the rest of the defense could tee off on the pass rush.
Yeah. This was disappointing to see after the way we handled Bama and LSU up front. Didn't have an answer on the inside and our poor left side struggled picking up the rush.

They just got bullied and never responded. It is what it is. I think the crowd noise early in the game got them out of sync.. The Georgia Dline got push right up the middle and they were around Hooker all game long. The game was won up front. I wish Hooker had took off a few more times and thrown the ball away at times. May not have helped but it sure wouldn't have hurt either.

I think that could’ve been the case. That was a rough stretch. We played hard in all of those games. We could’ve been tired and just off at Georgia, feeling wore out? That wasn’t us at all. We were off a lot. No excuses, but a team playing this kind of stretch can be tiresome by the time we got to Georgia. Your thoughts on how tired we were?
I think that has to be it. Tired.

I'm not sure about being tired. I am sure that their DL ate our OL's lunch/dinner/breakfast the next day. We had no answer for their DL.

They looked tired, drained, and emotionally distressed to me. Coming out of the tunnel didn’t look right to me, either. Yea, they looked fired up, but something seemed off in the locker room coming out. I remember it well.

overwhelmed would be how I'd put it... we looked off, their crowd was hyped, and things weren't going our way

Wow. Lotsa uga love in here. We lost. They won. We have a very tough schedule, and we are 8-1.

Not sure why some see a need to love on them. Trust me, their fans have nothing but contempt for us.
oh, yeah, they are sh!ts 😂

Guys, you spend half this thread loving on uga, then a uga fan shows up and is immediately snarky.

Are you getting the picture? Love on 'em if you want, but know that uga fans feel nothing but contempt for any program that isn't uga.

I detest but respect Alabama, Florida, LSU, Arkansas, etc. uga? No respect at all for them. Trash program.

Sure my response is a bit sarcastic but don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to suggest the team looked tired?

Tennessee fan here and I agree. We looked awfully fresh against Kentucky and rested players In the 2nd half. Georgia is just a better team. No excuses or there shouldn’t be.

Hooker missed on 4 deep balls that would’ve been walk in TDs. It was not domination the way everyone is claiming.

I enjoy the interaction. I don't make this personal and I never run down a team. I posted a couple of weeks ago that Tennessee was fully capable of winning the game. I didn't think they would because Heupnel doesn't have the horses just yet. The Vols are capable of winning a rematch. To do so they'll have to contain the UGA pass rush, run the ball with some succes and convert some 3rd downs. The rematch, like this game, won't be decided by rain, fan noise, a great punt, or fatigue.

I think it is a case of we did not have our A game on Saturday and ugh did. I think if we played our best the score is much different. It looked like we got rattled early and just didn't get on track. The punt and safety/non safety were things that put us in a predicament that we didn't handle. We didn't have an answer for their blitz. It isn't the end of the world. Win out and we still have a great shot at the playoff. Worst case scenario if we win out is a great bowl game that a bunch of players can opt out of.

UGA is a great team. I won't try to take anything away from them. IMO, they played their best game of the season vs UT. I don't think UT played its best game of the year. But that's football. Both teams went at each other. Both teams pressured the other. Both teams played hard. UGA just made the plays and UT didn't.

Many UT fans are wallowing in recriminations. UGA fans are crowing like they just proved invincibility. The truth is it was a game between two very good teams. UGA won... this time.
