Team looked tired playing Georgia

Sure my response is a bit sarcastic but don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to suggest the team looked tired?

You came here to get the adulations of certain Vols who seem to think it is their duty to compliment uga whenever possible. It's a Tennessee board, so if something is said here that offends you, please feel free to use the door to go back to a (insert noun here)dawgs board and discuss how you're the bestest ever.

Good grief people, this isn't that hard.

No, you saw 4 and 5 stars against 3 stars. We need talent. To be where we are at is amazing.

There is only so much emotion a team can handle during a season. This team has had to handle a lot. But they’ve gotta toughen up & finish strong. Too close to lose it now.

They did to us exactly what we did to Kentucky the week before. They made dominant plays until our team's spirit was broken. I like how we didn't roll over in the 4th like the Cats did, however.

This game was a grind. Behind the chains early and often forced into 3rd and longs. It wears an offense down. They had few energizing big plays that sucked the wind out of the defense and just didn’t get into rhythm until late in the game.

Towards the end of the game I felt like we were down 50-6. The team just didn’t execute their game and Georgia and the environment had a lot to do with it.

To win it doesn't require destruction, but disruption. You simply want to take a team out of their normal timing and/or game plan, and that's exactly what GA did.

Did we bus or fly to game?

Normally, we fly. For some reason, thinking we bused this time.

If so.....don't do that again. Fly to Athens. Bus to Nashville.
I think they usually bus to Athens and then fly home. Usually they take a 757 but it’s always two 717’s on the way back from Athens, I assume due to runway length there.

I was thinking they always fly there. Just they just handed them big bags of food for ride to airport....or something?

I just remember reading Clay Travis book on the 2008 season and it mentioned bussing down there for the UGA game.

I don’t think they were tired. I think they met a team better than them and didn’t execute while Georgia did execute.
Ga played Ga ball.. we couldn't play UT ball because the wet muddy field threw off timing.. that's why we did better later as it dried/drained

I'm pretty sure I don't get adulation here. I usually get insulted, even if just speaking a fact. I don't worry too much about that. It goes with the territory. Thanks for the tip about the door. Let me reciprocate: when you see a post you don't like or agree with, from me or anyone else, take a breath and scroll on past. It's liberating.

Naah. It’s my team site. And I really dislike the infestation of uga fans seeking affirmation from the uga-hugging Vol fans.

If I go over to an uga site, then you can show me the door. As it is, you see fit to come to a Tennessee board and seek praise. I don’t get it, but you be you, I guess.

If we took busses going to Athens, then I place 100% of the blame on that odd decision. To quote numbnuts, that is an energy vampire.

That is my opinion on that.

I’d we play them again on a neutral field it might be closer. But we are 2-3 very good recruiting classes away from being able to legitimately compete against them.

I think that could’ve been the case. That was a rough stretch. We played hard in all of those games. We could’ve been tired and just off at Georgia, feeling wore out? That wasn’t us at all. We were off a lot. No excuses, but a team playing this kind of stretch can be tiresome by the time we got to Georgia. Your thoughts on how tired we were?
Was not tired! Just beat in the trenches!

Getting manhandled at the line of scrimmage has a way of making you look tired too

You see, uga fans?

If you just hang around a bit, you will get so much of the affirmation you so desperately crave. So many Vols seem to want to heap praise on you.

I don't get it, but whatevs.
