Seems like the Charleston Classic is likely to get cancelled at this point. No idea what this means for Tennessee's schedule now.
It was moving to Orlando anyways, they are likely going to create a bubble situation for the teams that remain opted in. There’s multiple events that got moved there, and multiple teams have withdrawn, so seems likely they’ll just restructure with the teams still wanting to play.
That was already the case was my point...all the ones being moved to Orlando were likely to be redone due to teams dropping out.I know it’s heading to Orlando, but I’m referring to the fact that only 3 teams are still committed to play in the CC even after its move to the bubble. Seems significant and likely means this tournament won’t happen and will instead just be replaced with something else entirely.
I really think both would like to return if given the option.Sounds like CBB is like it to do that same as football and that their year won’t count towards eligibility....if that’s the case I’m sure Pons is gone, but I do wonder about Fulk & Anosike, I could see 1 or both potentially sticking around another year. That would really change the outlook in the post for 21-22.

-Jon Rothstein.Perimeter depth. The Vols boast a terrific power forward/center combo in Yves Pons and John Fulkerson, but the strength of Rick Barnes’ team may be its ability to remain skilled and versatile. Tennessee brings in two five-star freshmen in Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson, who stand at 6-4 and 6-5 respectively to go along with a pair of returning guards who boast good size in Santiago Vescovi (6-3) and Josiah-Jordan James (6-6). Oregon transfer Victor Bailey is also a capable college veteran at 6-4 who will have a significant impact while Sacred Heart grad transfer E.J. Anosike brings experience and grit at 6-7. That’s six different players who stand between 6-3 and 6-7, not including the 6-6 Pons who heavily debated entering the 2020 NBA Draft before returning to school. The Vols have the makings of an elite defensive team with interchangeable pieces who can guard multiple positions. It’s just one of many reasons why Tennessee is viewed as the team to beat in the SEC.
Just a hunch, but first impression is that Missouri is too high. South Carolina at 5 is pretty bullish, but they return a lot. I think the top 4 are accurate, and exactly how I'd have them, too. Bama and Auburn are right below them. Arkansas lost their three best players, but replace them with a really good freshman class that includes 4 4* players. To me, they are a bit of a wildcard. Could finish 6th, could finish 11th.If Vandy and GA are in the basement it’s going to be a very competitive league. Hopefully the top 2 are far better than the rest and 3-14 are interchangeable.
He, like many coaches, is a victim of the one-and-done rule. He recruits a great player, and then loses him after a season. That sucks for coaches at a program where they are trying to gain traction to build a program.Would you say Crean has legit underachieved? I wasn't expecting perineal top 3, but better than what he has produced.
