Teams we need to pull for

Funny, but we are now on the top of about 20 teams list of teams to root against. Up until GA, everyone wanted us to WIN but, now if we lose again, it will open the door for as slew of teams to join in the playoff conversation.

Good to be on a list but, not good to be on a list of teams who are rooting for us to lose.

Isn’t that a good thing?

If we win out (especially if all are convincing wins), we'll make the final four.

Ohio State should beat Michigan. MI's only has one ranked win so far - Penn State. Even if they beat Illinois before losing to Ohio State, there's no way they compete with wins over FL, AL, KY and LSU. So, MI will be gone.

Oregon can't jump us even if they win out. Yeah, we lost to GA, but we weren't completely destroyed 49-3. Plus, Oregon only has the possibility of Washington, UCLA and Utah as ranked wins. Huh uh.

If TCU wins out, they'll be #3, but they'll get killed by Ohio State.

We'll be #4 and earn a rematch with GA in the semifinal.

All we have to do is play UT football for three games. We don't need any more help.

And, I'm guessing the Dawgs are gonna be sweatin' a rematch.

Oregon beat BYU when they were ranked. They also have the PAC-12 Championship game to play, which could be a ranked USC.

I’ve said it before and will post it again. A one loss Pac 12 will make the playoffs over a one loss TN team. Do I agree with it? No. But the media is talking up Oregon, USC and UCLA- Pc 12 in general.

Plus, they even are saying a two loss LSU champion will jump TN. The media loves to stir the pot and cause drama, which is why I refuse to watch.

I agree that Oregon will pass us if they win out. I don’t see how LSU could pass us with a 40-13 loss at home.

This week -
1. Texas
2. Bama
3. Washington
4. Nebraska
5. Indiana

4 and 5 have no shot. Bama? A minor consideration. it makes us look only slightly better. There is no way I am rooting for that program, ever.

OTOH, Hook em Horns! For one week anyway.Happy to root for the Huskies most any time they don't play Vols. I have a good bud who is an alum.

A 1 loss Oregon team , not USC or UCLA. Only cause Oregon’s only loss would be Tennessee’s only loss. It’s an easier way to measure how good/bad teams are. If USC/ UCLA beats Oregon would that mean they would beat or lose to Georgia? You don’t know, so you can’t assume , but you look at “style points then”. Georgia whooped Oregon. USC/ UCLA would have to DeSTroy Oregon to validate that spot

LSU will not make the playoffs with 2 losses unless a lot of teams lose. The only reason that narrative is being pushed is to discredit a second SEC team from getting into the playoffs. The narrative will shift that last week if LSU beats UGA and there are conference champs with 0 and 1 losses and a second Big 10 team with 1 loss. They will all be pointing out that a 2 loss team should NOT make the playoff over a 1 loss conference champ and they will also probably spin a case against UGA.

And I can't believe some of you are playing into that narrative.

And I don't think LSU wins out - they could but I would not be shocked if Arkansas beats them this Saturday.

These teams winning would be great but honestly, if we just handle our business it won't matter. The only thing that will throw a wrench in that strategy, is LSU winning the conference. JMO
