Teams we need to pull for

LSU will not make the playoffs with 2 losses unless a lot of teams lose. The only reason that narrative is being pushed is to discredit a second SEC team from getting into the playoffs. The narrative will shift that last week if LSU beats UGA and there are conference champs with 0 and 1 losses and a second Big 10 team with 1 loss. They will all be pointing out that a 2 loss team should NOT make the playoff over a 1 loss conference champ and they will also probably spin a case against UGA.

And I can't believe some of you are playing into that narrative.

And I don't think LSU wins out - they could but I would not be shocked if Arkansas beats them this Saturday.

Arkie has had their number , but with Kelly at Lsu, all Historical trends are on hold.

anyone else notice Kentucky (who we spanked) was back in the top 25 CFP rankings - that should help us a little too right?

Funny, but we are now on the top of about 20 teams list of teams to root against. Up until GA, everyone wanted us to WIN but, now if we lose again, it will open the door for as slew of teams to join in the playoff conversation.

Good to be on a list but, not good to be on a list of teams who are rooting for us to lose.
Whachu talkin bout? It’s great to be on that list. On the flip side, Bama fans should be rooting for us to make the playoff because it will land them in a better bowl. Oh how sweet it is…

Washington really matters. Oregon needs a loss before the end of the year. I would bet huge amounts of money they would get in over us if they run the table and win the Pac 12
They will but that's ok... 1. Georgia 2. Mich/OSU 3. Pac12 Champ 4. Tennessee

Just need TCU to lose and handle our business. Nobody else is in position to overtake us in the rankings

Teams I am willing to pull for this week.
1. Texas

3. Nebraska
4. Indiana

I will never pull for that other team you had listed OP.

4 and 5 have no shot. Bama? A minor consideration. it makes us look only slightly better. There is no way I am rooting for that program, ever.

OTOH, Hook em Horns! For one week anyway.Happy to root for the Huskies most any time they don't play Vols. I have a good bud who is an alum.
If Ole Miss loses, then LSU pretty much has a lock to SECCG. If Ole miss Beats Bama, we don’t have a shot at all for pksyoffs

I’d rather be hated than irrelevant. Go Vols and fake UT.

I remember when Kiffin was here he said bad publicity is better than no one talking about you. Not sure I can totally agree with that but he was referencing the fact that TN at that time was no longer relevant nationally.

It’s not just the teams ahead of us that have to fall. It’s rising 1 loss teams that have the benefit of a strong back end schedule and conference championships ahead of them. I really see a strong probability of this being a year of only conference champions making it to the CFP. That extra game will be massive this year.

PAC10
Oregon
USC
UCLA

ACC
Clemson
North Carolina

SEC
Ole Miss
LSU

From a SOS aspect, it would help if both Alabama and LSU wins out (well except Atlanta for LSU). If that happens both are in top 10 CFB rankings.

Pittsburgh is also huge because they play teams not in the SEC and therefore not on our schedule. Need them to win out and finish 8-4.

Regarding losses, we need TCU to drop a game (very likely).

Ohio State really needs to beat Michigan. I am confident we can get in over one loss Michigan team, not so much a one loss Ohio State team.

Not required but chaos in Pac12 would really help as well, especially with regard to the situation of B1G getting two teams.

Oregon beat BYU when they were ranked. They also have the PAC-12 Championship game to play, which could be a ranked USC.

Yea, if Oregon wins out and does so in impressive fashion, they could very well jump us - their loss was uglier than ours but it was in September in the first game for a new head coach, new QB, etc. We really need them to drop a game. Be nice for them to lose to either Washington this week or Utah next week.

I have heard several national sports writers this week comment on our loss to GA that the score does not reflect the real domination. That our loss was every bit as ugly as Oregon's. So not sure we can count on that to give us an edge there.

We should get the edge because we didn’t allow them to put up 44 on our defense.. so our defense really was better than Oregon’s.

I’ve said it before and will post it again. A one loss Pac 12 will make the playoffs over a one loss TN team. Do I agree with it? No. But the media is talking up Oregon, USC and UCLA- Pc 12 in general.

Plus, they even are saying a two loss LSU champion will jump TN. The media loves to stir the pot and cause drama, which is why I refuse to watch.
LSU isn’t beating UGA. If we couldn’t do it, they certainly can’t. They need to go ahead and stop with that delusional ridiculousness. Now, if TCU or a PAC-12 team get in over us, so be it. I’ll enjoy watching them get destroyed in the first round while we celebrate a sugar-bowl curb-stomping.
