I am a football nut and since the game is over how about a little discussion from the Gator followers. I watched the Indy vs. Miami game last night and couldnt help but notice, out of all the NFL teams,:dunno: I think he would fit in the Dolphins Wildcat pretty well. Any thoughts!

I think Tebow will fit with the Dolphins as well as several other teams. He may not be the best quarterback as far as passing goes, but the guy is a winner and I think it will translate into the NFL.

The threat of the wildcat that the Dolphins use is not the threat of a pass, but the power run game.

If they would like the threat of a pass, Pat White is already on the roster and is significantly faster than Tebow.

If Tebow is gonna play QB in the NFL (IF) as a starter, then it will probably be for the Jaguars.

I think he would make a good backup where they could offer a different look on offense to confuse the defense. Couldn't be a good starter IMO.

Could be a good fit.

Honestly if I was an OC in the NFL, I would love him, but not as a starting QB. There are all kinds of really quirky things you could do with him.

I would use him a lot like he was used in Florida as a freshman. Put him in the game in certain packages.

I think he would fit in well with the Titans. They don't usually throw the ball many times and very few throws are deep down the field. The guy just knows how to win and with Chris Johnson in the backfield they could probably do some pretty good things.

They have another guy that knows how to win too. I think his name is Vince.

I think Ronnie Brown runs the wildcat just fine.

And Miami already invested a 2nd round pick on Pat White.

Tebow will make a nice H-back for someone though.

I still think Tebow's delivery is far too slow for the NFL. He would get sacked way too much as a full-time starting QB.

No future in the NFL...guy isn't an NFL QB.

Maybe he should look into motivational speaking. I hear he's already cornered that market.

Tebow is a fit for any NFL team. He will be one of the 53 best players on any NFL roster.
They guy is just a great football player...period.

He isn't worth the money they'd have to spend on him. Dolphins already have Pat White who is a better fit for the wildcat than Tebow would be. I also think this is a fad thats going to go out soon when people learn how to defend it. If I were a GM the only way I'd take him is if he was still on the board in the 7th and I'd try him at QB first then move him to TE.

This is precisely why you are a guy posting on a fan message board and not an NFL GM.

Jay Barker was also one of those collegiate "winners." Didn't get the draft love.

So what draft pick would you take Vince Young with? I'd take VY over Tebow at the college level any day of the week. Vince doesn't even seem to be worth a 7th round pick anymore so what's the appeal in Tim Tebow? VY is definitely a better athlete. Tebow isn't running over anyone in the NFL. Vince Young can barely out run defenders so Tebow won't be doing that either. Tebow is not an NFL quarterback. He doesn't even drop back to pass. Good luck learning that against NFL talent when you can't even do it against college talent.

I find it funny you would tell someone that's why they post on message boards and aren't an NFL GM. 1) You're doing the same thing. 2) Ryan Leaf, Alex Smith, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Mike Williams, Charles Rogers, Robert Gallery... how'd those picks turn out? What about Kurt Warner, Cortland Finnegan and Marques Colston? I guess every GM did a bad job there seeing as one went undrafted and the other two went in the 7th round.

I wouldn't be so fast to count him out just yet...

Why? The consensus amongst those that get paid to evaluate talent is that he will not be an NFL QB. Mel Kiper and Todd McShay aren't just running their mouths, they know he won't be a QB and they talk to plenty of NFL scouts that know he won't be a QB.
