Tebow or Crompton

Crompton won't get a chance to start until his junior campaign. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of damage he can do in those 2 years. I think he'll make a name for himself in that time.

Tebow, on the other hand, will be UF's starter as a true sophomore next season. I think he will show his youth and immaturity all of next year, but he'll eventually settle in and be a QB that's tough to defend.

I hate to say it, but I am going with Teebow. But I haven't seen enough of Crompton yet to make it a fair decision on the matter.

Crompton is a passer that can run well.

Tebow is a runner who can pass some.

I don't think they are the same style of QB's

It's like saying Steve Young and Vick are the same because both can run. They are not. Young was a thrower who could run. Vick is a runner first thrower second.

you might want to check Tebow's high school stats, I'd say he was a little better than a "runner who can pass some"

By his seinor year, Young was more a thrower than a runner, but his runs are what made sportscenter.

How in the world is anybody making any sort of educated comparison here? We've barely seen either one of them.

My compairison wasn't really educated, but if I said now I would have to say Teebow. I need to see more though, bottom line.

Immensely saddened by the fact that the resident talent evaluator hasn't chimed in on this one.

So far Crompton holds a better clipboard than Teebow.:birgits_giggle: But I do think that Florida would be more dangerous with Teebow in now running the Urban Meyer offense. He is counting the days when he can implement his style of O! I'm a little nervous.

Tebow will be solid in Urban's system, and I definitely look forward to his reign at Florida, but how can UT fans be pessimistic about Crompton? David Cutcliffe (who's absence certainly hurt the QB spot the last couple years) will certainly make a good QB out of Crompton, and I suspect Ainge will finish the season with very good numbers. He's one of the better QB's in the nation, but when you have a game with running woes (-11 or so yards), it makes it tough on ANY passer. WAY to early to write this season off.

But back to Crompton...he'll be just fine when he takes over.

Now we just need to find a DT that can SAY NO TO DRUGS!!!

Maybe we can send you a DT that can SAY NO TO DRUGS and you all can send us a C for b-ball that can SAY NO TO DRUGS!!!

I just recently heard on the radio that Tebow bench presses 225lbs 28 times. Some of lineman going into the NFL draft do not bench press this much. This could contribute to the reason why he ran all over us... Just a thought. Not to bring up Florida again, but I just thought that was amazing to me....

He is a stud dog. I'm really afraid of what he can do in Urban's system the next couple of years. Thankfully he's off our schedule after this year. Whew!

Are you kidding 225 is a lot when you do it 28 times in a row! Yea Tebow will start to worry people starting next year. If he gets Myers system down watch out.

That's crazy. I remember hearing about Reggie Bush doing that at the NFL combine. There's no denying it, Urban Meyer's offense will probably be capable of doing big things if the line keeps up in front of TIMMY!.

I was able to put up 225 a couple times in high school when I was 140 pounds. And I can assure you there is not an NFL offensive lineman or NFL prospect that can not bench 225. I would be surprised if anybody in that class could not press 300. You have to think that is pretty close to what he weighs.

Put it this way David Pollack at the NFL combine did it 25 times. Shawne Merriman did it 25 times. These are DL/LB that were going into the draft in 2005. This kid is comming straight out of high school. I cant believe he is that strong...
