Tebow sucking it up in practice?

I agree LG. We are taking on water. But think this is more playfull poking at Tebow. Or least in my case it is.

Oh, I know. If I were in your shoes, I'd also be seizing on every misstep (literally, lol) and news of him performing below expectations. Hey, what do I know? I haven't played organized football since I was 12 and to call what we did organized is, well, silly.

I will say this: To be the best, you have to beat the best. And right now Florida is the best. So your return to national prominence goes through Gainesville this year and its sink or swim time for the Vols come September 15 (like how I got us back to the Titanic?)

yeah he is going to be fine, uf has enough athletes around to make him look good, until he gets it down. He is going to piss me off for the next three years. Not because I hate him, but because he really hasn't given me a reason to hate him....yet. He just goes out there and plays, doesn't run his mouth...yet...and doesn't refer to him self as a *****n soldier....yet :)

Will be glued to the TV on September 15th. Did you ever get your tickets for Vols game?

Easy Boys! No need to bruise the fragile egos of the defending national champion swamp lizards. The golden boy will is surly to be able to handle himself given the fact that he was a one down quarterback. I mean whats three more downs gonna do, but give him the opprotunity to shine even brighter. I mean our defensewill be no match for the 4 down Tebow. I feel blessed that I will even get to watch my Big Orange Brothers play against such greatness. And with the great Urban Myth coaching him, they might as well join the NFL and claim the Super Bowl trophey while they are at it. Get a good look at excellence vol fans because after Florida Beats mighty Western Kentucky and Troy they are coming for us lowly VOLS!

WOW!

No luck so far. On Ebay or Stubhub, tickets in the UT section, which is way up high and in the corner and out in the baking sun, are in the $150 range. That's reasonable, if you want to watch the game while you burn up into a crisp.

To get into the alumni sections, with some chance at shade and armrest and seatbacks, you're talking $400 each right now and that's nuts. I've tried calling four different connected friends to get access to good tix, and so far everyone is shooting me down.

I'd pay $200 each for decent tickets on the alumni section. I don't expect to be with the Bullgators (saw a pair of those for the UT game for a whopping $2500). But geez don't make me sweat with the 22 year olds who will be puking up last night's party.

No, no. Just calling it like I see it.

You can't tell me that you aren't concerned that UT may be getting pretty stale, as a program. Look at FSU. They've really gone backwards for the last few years. They've taken similar steps to UT in terms of replacing assistant coaches. But Bowden is close to 80. And not going anywhere any time soon.

To call their fanbase optimistic but pretty restless is understatement of the year. I see UT in the same boat (to continue the Titanic analogy).

We've won 2 of the last 3 in the Swamp!

tebow will be good.... he hasnt regressed from last year... or last spring. everyone has a few bad days -- so it's stupid to think that he's all of a sudden a terrible player.

do you guys have QB envy or something? UT has one of the premier QB's in the nation in EA... yet it seems everyone here is so insecure about the Clausens and the Tebows of the world that you all make fun of them and continue to reassert that you would rather have EA? it doesn't make sense. i dont see gator fans insecure enough in their QB's to consistently down EA.

I saw Clausen look not so good at the 01 O & W game, but when the lights came on he almost led us to an unblemished season. Not to mention the first several games of the 98 season Tee didn't exactly look like Archie Manning. It's too early to worry about Tebow.

If you were a UF fan would you not be woried that he has struggled as soon as they put in some different coverages for him to go up against and try and read.

Counterpoint, I have no doubt that Tebow will be a good player. But I hate the gators and will take any opportunity to have some fun at their expense. Same for jimmy the golden boy.

no. he did fine against top flight SEC competition in his limited playing time, and he apparently looked good in the spring game. so, if i were a rational fan, i wouldnt go all chicken little b/c he had a few off days in the 100+ degree heat.

Yea cause in spring games they use complex coverages that are hard to read whit LBs blitzing at you.

What's your opinion on how he's going to do this season?

I think he'll be good. I think if people end up calling him a system QB, they could be right. I'm not sure about his NFL future because hasn't had to make NFL quality throws yet. I think in 2008 he'll be solid, but 2009 really good within the system.
