What have we learned in this thread? DDuncan really doesn't like Ted Nugent.

LMAO was it that obvious. My distaste for him really started when he rips on Phil Dime and the Boys. You put Ted and Panteras versions of Cat Scratch Fever against each other and tell me that Dime didnt own him. Ted got pissed when Dime showed him how to do his on song the right way lol

He's entitled to his opinion about the Obama admin just like every other American. I'm not a big fan of his, but whatever.

Actually, an endorsement like this might turn out to hurt more than help.

No one- and I mean not a single person in the country - is going to vote for Romney because Nugent endorses him. All it does, with his incendiary rhetoric that is pure hate of Obama rather than anything positive about Romney, is give the left more fodder to paint the GOP as scary extremists.

It's okay that the mainstream GOP leaders offer their "Gee whiz, I guess he's all we've got this go 'round" endorsements, where even they looked pained to be there. But guys like Nugent overall hurt Romney, IMO.

Ted Nugent For Mitt Romney: Rocker Stumps For GOP Candidate At NRA Convention

I don't have anything to say about the article. It is Ted being Ted. I mainly put it up here so I could ask this question.

Why on earth does some Conservatives give this Man the time of day?

Nugent himself said that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but Vienna Sausages and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won him a deferment. He openly admitted that.

I'm conersvative and would tell my son to do the same thing if there was a draft.
Not to mention he had sex with a underage groupie. Had back Child Support for years. Cheated on his various wives. Became legal guardian of another teenage her he was sleeping with.

Define underage. we talking 17 and almost legal or 13 because I dont know. I think the 18 or over sex laws were no yet established in his time.I really don't get it. He is nothing more than a Gutless Chicken Hawk with a Gun obsession yet somehow he has a Rambo image to some on the Right.

He has a right to own guns and be obsesed with them. Liberals would disagree.
Honestly I'm not writing this to piss off the Conservatives on here. I am just honestly confused. Nugent is about as much a Real Patriot as Reagan was a Commie Pinko.

But with all that said, I dont like his music and turn him off when hes on because his voice is annoying. He banged some top notch pootang though in his prime.

From the Wiki

In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with seventeen-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. Due to the age difference they could not marry so Nugent joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian, an arrangement that Spin magazine ranked in October 2000 as #63 on their list of the "100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock".[27][28]

Turns out Steven Tyler did a similar thing with a 14 year old - parents signed her over so she could live with him in another state.

lets be honest if all you are looking for is sex there is no difference between a 17 year old and a 20 year old.

the only different is the maturity level and I doubt he was looking for a good conversation.

I'm also not condoning what he did but we put so much stock on 18 and most 18 year olds are idiots.

You have never been to a Paris Tennessee Fish Fry I'm thinking. Just a wild guess.

He has many spontaneous moments, and all of them are scheduled weeks in advance. He is... The most uninteresting man in the world.

Shocked that LG managed to see this a negative for Romney.

Yet you don't take issue with my point. Interesting.

btw, I think the same thing of some of Obama's celebrity supporters. No one is going to voe for Obama because Oprah endorses him. She gets him some free publicity, but also serves as a foil for the right to bash him as too black.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who will vote for whoever their favorite actor/musician/celebrity tells them to. I've met some of those people, and it's pathetic.

How many people do you think vote because Ted Nugent told them to? What's he got left, like 8 fans, made up of 57 year old guys who live in their Moms' basements and drive rusted out trans ams?

Even one person who would vote for Romney because Nugent endorses him is too many. I'm not saying that candidates should turn down celebrity endorsements, but any intelligent voter wouldn't give a crap.
