Ed Orgeron and Houston Nutt want that job also. UNLV can't be so stupid that they would hire a high school coach for that job. I would hire Orgeron if i were them.

Not familiar with UNLV but was reading about dominant hs programs and the article mentioned how a high school coach was almost a guarantee for that spot. Forget the guys name. Would be awesome for Tee

If Sanchez is smart he could make UNLV a win win position. They got the high risk high reward hire. Now if he could get TEE to be his offensive coordinator. It would be the step up both of them have to put their careers on notice for on the rise.

This guy was hired because of 2 things..

#1 He's obviously a good coach but he's been fortunate because BG is a private school and he could recruit players to come there. BG's facilities are very nice and out do what UNLV has.

#2 That being said, Tony Snachez has some big money backers on his side. Basically UNLV's version of the Haslam's and Thorton are personal friends with Sanchez and rumors here say they called this shot and will now dump a ton of $$$ into UNLV football. Those people were the reason BG had such nice facilities.

If this guy can get the prospects that leave Vegas to stay here, he'll get off on the right foot. There's a whole lotta talent in this area and if he can get those kids on board he should be able to win the Mountain West every year but it's not going to happen overnight.
