If Butch Jones wants to prove he has recruiting skills, his first test will be trying to recruit one of our own back into the fold. If T goes to Bama or somewhere else other than UT, Jones may have a hard time proving he has what it takes to bring guys in. IMO, this is a huge first test!

I don't think there's much "recruiting" to it. Tee is going to make the best decision for him and his family. Tee knows full well how great UT is. If he doesn't choose us, it's not because Butch didn't do a good job "recruiting" him. It's because it wasn't the best decision for him at this time.

One thing is for sure.

Tee is going to leave USC.

That ship is sinking.

Would I like to see Tee back? Hell yeah but I'm not going to flip out about it. Jones has already added two great recruiters to the staff.

I kind of agree, but recruiting a grown man and recruiting a high school kid are two different things I think.

I hope that since he "loves this university so much," Fulmer reaches out to Tee unsolicitedly to encourage the move back here.

The bigger question would be how can a former UT player choose Bama over ut if it happened. I don't care if Saban is the best coach in the nation. There would be no excuse for it if it happened.

Maybe he wants to be back home......... in Alabama.

I need Tee news....quick!

I personally think he's already made his decision. He can't turn down coming back to a place where he won a National Championship and has a street named after him! He will be loved...just like Jay.

I hate Bama and I love Tee, but hes gonna make the best decision for his CAREER. Oh and he is from Bama if people dont remember that

I still want him here VERY bad, i think we would get Ramsey with him, which we need so badly.

What is his family situation??

I don't claim any special knowledge of his situation. I was just making a general statement that would apply to anyone with a family. I have heard that his wife has a career especially suited to LA. TIFWIW.

I believe he is from South Carolina. But, people keep saying he is from Alabama.

If we even have to convince him I'd say he don't wanna be here....it's really a no brainer he will come without much coaxing

I would think Tee would be bringing in more cash than she is though. He will get a raise coming here.

Hopefully, she would still be able to pursue her career in music here though. May have to use some of those frequent flyer miles.

I came across her wiki page when googling news on Tee. It says she is a "former" artist whose only hit was in 2001.

Needless to say, if you want to make music, Nashville seems to be a pretty solid place to do it. There are lots of non-country types living there now, just ask Jack White.

Point being, her career shouldn't stop them from living in Knoxville. But that is certainly a personal decision they as a family will have to make. I would love to see him back in orange.

Nothing groundbreakin, but from a respected poster on TOS:

Large buyout if he leaves for a similar position, but if he is a coordinator he is free to leave with no buyout, I am sure Tennessee has told Jones we aren't paying a buyout to USC and Kiffin, so if he comes he will be given a coordinator role or "title" to get around that buyout. Its been done 100 times, its just working around the specifics in his contracts which could take a little time. I think of Eddie Gran as one that took a while because they had to work around his contract.
I don't think you will see passing game coordinator, coaches can make him an associate head coach and it should work, just depends on how his contract is worded. He could be the Recruiting Coordinator and that may work. Takes time to work threw these type of things.
Remember Eddie Gran when he was leaving to go to FSU? FSU had to figure out a way around his contract, sounds like Kiffin likes to make them difficult to work around.
