Tee Martin to FSU?

Sure, he ended up here, but he came here because Bama and FSU told him he wouldn't qb. Let's not pretend that if either of those schools offered him as a qb that he wouldn't have gone there. My point is, he didn't choose us, he was stuck with us.

If memory serves me correctly, Tee was not "stuck" with us. He waffled back and forth between Auburn and Tennessee, committing, then decommitting and recommitting. Mind you, I don't know if Auburn was recruiting him exclusively as a quarterback or not.

Same reason we ended up with Condredge Holloway, but I've never heard anyone complain about that.

As he stated in the documentary, "The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story," Condredge never would have played college football if he had had his druthers. Baseball was his first love but his mother would not give her approval for the underaged Holloway to go into professional baseball straight out of high school. He could have gone to Alabama, but Bear Bryant told him in no uncertain terms that the state of Alabama simply wasn't ready for a black quarterback. Condredge said that he always respected the Bear for his honesty on that matter. That development certainly helped to pave the way for the "Artful Dodger" to come to Tennessee, but Ray Trail also did an excellent job recruiting him.

A lot of little children in this thread. Tee Martin is a grown ass man. Tee Martin is not indebted to the University of Tennessee. Tee Martin can take whatever job he wants, and that he thinks is best for himself and his family. And, for those of you who feel that a grown man making grown man decisions is in some manner insulting to you, then feel free not to ever welcome Tee Martin. I'm sure he cares.

Pretty much my point. If Bear had told him he would have a shot at playing QB, there's a good chance he would've gone to Bama. I don't think that he ever felt like he was "stuck" with us, nor do I feel that Tee ever felt that way. Whatever happend with the other schools that were recruiting them, they both chose to be Vols.

Everyone taking a business decision personally, imo.

Better come collect my fan card, then. Or, should I just mail it back in to the real fan post office box?

seriously, your first sentence sounds like a grief stricken little girl. If you can't understand that the man has his own family and professional priorities rated above hurting your feelings, you take this fan thing too seriously and need to back up a little.

We do not agree on much, but on this, you are absolutely correct.

So I am wrong on all the ones we disagree on? Gotcha.

Honestly, I only had a problem with some of your Sandusky stances and when you mentioned talking about sex to a 6 yr old. I don't float around with the loonies in the politics forum too often. Some people know too much. Some people don't know enough, but think they know plenty.
