Tee Martin to Ole Miss?

Surely he would not follow Kiffin. Hopefully he learned enough about him during his time at USC. Lane is a good offensive mind however, is known to screw up and leave others holding the bag.

He hasn’t met expectations based on his salary, IMO. David Johnson was much more productive this season in both coaching and recruiting. Let Tee walk if he chooses to. Would not surprise me one bit.

Why do you think he hasn't met expectations?

If he left it would be a fit issue and a mutual parting of ways. Ole Miss wont beat what we can pay a position coach and we "should" have the alum factor.

Kiffin didn’t really screw up USC considering how the Sark and Helton years went.

Lot of USC fans I know here after last year were clamoring for him back since they drastically underrated his 28-15 record there with the bowl ban and scholarship reductions.

T is a Tennessee legend. He will always have a spot in most Tennessee fans hearts.

BUT

I think he took it as a "demotion" of sorts when he was asked to leave the box and go to the sideline this year. Our WRs have shown moments of greatness this year...but have also had some rough moments. If I recall he scored an 11 on the wonderlick...so maybe his "football IQ" isn't where it needs to be to coach at the big time SEC level? And as hard as JP coaches our players.....I feel he is equally as demanding of his staff....and T might not take that very well.

If Tee leaves it's no big loss. Chaney didn't even want him in the box with him. He might as well take more money and a false job title if he can get it. At this point he has proven he's just a recruiter who didn't even recruit well for Tennessee.

Lol he's literally had a less than a year to recruit here.. if he stays I think he should be judged off this year. Some of our fans just have irrational expectations, what was expected coming off a 4 and 5 win season in terms of recruiting?
