Look at the other side of this. If he wasn't a good coach and recruiter then why did Kiffin want him? I mean USC has a rep for recruiting and getting top receivers over the years. The WR Coaching job there is not exactly some below average so-so job at some average school. A good WR coach, good recruiter and former Vol = triple package for us.

There's one thing Knoxville has that LA doesn't. Tee's son from a previous relationship. That could be the deciding factor.

Does anyone know of any other accomplished WR coaches / recruiters with a connection to bUTch or UT? (Hinshaw excluded, obviously.) Or do y'all think we would just hire the Cincy guy and call it a staff?

I was born and raised in L.A., but i live in and love east TN, dont know about with Tee but no choice in my mind.I hope Tee comes home....

At last check Hinshaw hadn't been officially hired at Kentucky and may have been waiting this out.

If so then we lose very little in getting him or T.

Agree. That would be a fantastic fall-back option. Seems too good to be true but here's hoping . . .

I was wondering about this. My son (who is 12 now) played against Central 3 or so years ago, and I was told that Tee's kid was on that team. Wasn't sure if BS or not, but now you say this. My son was born in 2000 so the math of Tee getting a girl pregnant before he left Knoxville is right on.

Edit: We haven't played that team since because they are in the higher division now (XFL) and our team (Powell) is not.

T's son is a student at Powell with your son presently.

My son told me there was one team and the coach that we have all grown to love was going to be an assistant to the coach that we all hope to grow to love.

I am not quite there yet. I will watch from afar. Bought into the Dooley hype and got in the first car of the express train to Doomsville. I am in the prove it to me first crowd waiting on the side.
