Yeah, but get paid. Fire, if you wrote a short story, I'd read it.
Now new poster!

There are actually people blasting that poster cause it brings back images of 9-11. I am getting so sick of this overly sensitive, politically correct society that has nothing better to do than look for something wrong in a movie poster feature teenage ninja turtles of all thing. Its beyond ridiculous. Grow some balls.
/rant off
Well, in the interest of full disclosure, the reason that people even brought it up was due to the international version of that release poster. Like most movie posters, the international version includes the release date for the film on the poster. The international release date for TMNT? September 11th.
So people are getting mad because it is being released Internationally on 9-11? Seriously?
I wasn't necessarily saying I agreed with it. My point was just that people didn't see the poster and automatically just start saying it out of nowhere. They saw a poster with a picture of a building exploding and the date September 11th written on it.
Sorry...grew up with the Turtles....had the original run of toys...watched the old cartoons and even the comic book and...
I actually think this looks good.
I hope it is closer to PG though instead of barely R as I am taking my kids to see this and hope its ok.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shells In $25 Million Opening Day
Whatever you have to say about Paramount Pictures decision to remake Eastman and Lairds Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, produced by Michael Bay, directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) and starring Megan Fox, William Fichtner and Will Arnett, its definitely one for the win column as it pulled in an estimated $25 million its opening day with $4.6 million coming from Thursday previews.
Thats a solid showing that points to an opening weekend in the range of $60 million or more depending on how front loaded it is due to its undeniable fan interest. Thats a bigger opening day than the $24.3 million opening for Disneys Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie which took in $69.4 million in its three-day opening in late May, though many schools were still in session, plus its appeal to women meant it could stretch itself further over the coming summer months.
Thats also a stronger opening than Paramounts similarly fannish G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra which opened with $22.2 million in early August 2009 for a $54.7 million weekend, as well as Foxs Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which had a $19 million opening day and $54.8 million first weekend in early August two years later. Considering that both those movies received sequels, one would expect that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will follow suit.
