Tee's coming home

Like I said earlier, nothing is certain until the ink is dry. I do like our chances here, but you would think something would have leaked by now, no?

Tee is a good guy, going back to tell his players and lane in person. :hi:

Agreed. Hopefully, Tee will also give Kiffin the following message: "I came back to give you a lesson in professionalism and to tell you and our players, face-to-face, that, although I have enjoyed my time at USC, I will be accepting a position at the University of Tennessee. This is the way you are supposed to handle acceptance of a new coaching position. Your fly-by-night, scorched-earth departure from my alma mater and, particularly, Ed Orgeron's last-second antics positively reeked of unprofessionalism."

And as he's walking out the door, look back and say "Oh, and by the way...You've just been Kiffened."

We shouldn't get our hopes up TOO much about Tee. If he doesn't come it is because he feels it isn't best for him AND his family at this time. We do not know all of the factors he must consider. And if he chooses to stay at USC we should not take that as anything against him of Coach Jones. It just was not right despite our feelings about the situation.

Butch and Hart know how important Tee is to us. They're gonna do this the right way. An a schedule a Presser. That would be my guess.

absolutely, Tee's decision should be respected either way. We owe him that. However, if he is coming, I hope they announce it ASAP. That way, we can put signs up along Alcoa Highway giving Tee a heroes welcome he deserves.

Can not imagine Tee turning job down. Lane is in the hot seat which should scare Tee. Tee also is a legend here. He has street named after him and last QB to win a Sec and nationial title. There is a different appreciation for Tee here than LA. In LA most people would not even know him if they seen him on the street.

@JimmyHyams: Lane Kiffin has just informed me that Tee Martin has not taken the job at UT - at least, not yet. Stay tuned

Most important recruiting battle Butch Jones will have this YR at UT is trying to reel in top USC asst Tee Martin.
I hope Tee pulls a Kiffin and tells Kiffin I'm leaving for my dream job plus I'm taking my recruits with me!

Butch Jones makes "Tennessee Football Legend Status" automatically if he takes Tee and his prized recruits from one of the most hated men in America of the VolNation!
