Yes. I should have put an asterisk that Newstrom is draft eligible but likely gone regardless.
Also brings up a point about recruiting players who are draft eligible in their sophomore year. A big problem since the title is we’ve had to rebuild virtually the entire starting lineup each year. Likely going to have to replace an entire pitching staff and at least 5 position players for 27.

Agreed. Problem is many kids are holding back in their 8th grade year so they are 19 1/2 or even older when they graduate HS. They are basically one year older vs the same class they are competing against during their HS careers in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage for colleges or MLB draft

So of our regular lineup, Clark, Brown, Abernathy, and Grindlinger are set to return?
Absolutely. I’m sure UT will make it a priority to retain those 4 plus Mack, Appenzeller, Day, Baiotto, etc from being poached by other programs. GA went hard after Clark last year.

I thought Mack was draft eligible. He isn’t. So, I’d assume App and Mack would be your two returning starters. I’m pretty sure Teghan projects high and goes pro.

Yes for sure App and Mack will be in the starting rotation next season. Yes, I think there’s virtually no chance Kuhns returns as he’s going to be a 1st rounder. His development has been awesome.

Yes. Cant rely on freshmen to start on weekends or start as position players for that matter. The Drew Beams and Dean Curley’s are few and far between.
It’s way too early to count out next year’s freshman class. There may be a gem 💎 or two in there.
