Ten favorite MLB players of all time

If it only takes you 20 minutes from west Knoxville, you're either taking a helicopter or going about 20 over the speed limit the entire way. It took me at least 25 minutes from my apartment in south Knoxville and even longer from my house in Rocky Hill.

Take a guess which county was willing to fund a stadium. If Knoxville hypothetically didn't sit beside Sevier County, there would never be a AA team in Kodak. Or a A team. Probably not even a Rookie class team.

70-75 the whole way. any slower and you might as well apply for your senior citizen discount early. on a Friday in the summer, i've sat on the exit ramp almost as long as it took to get out there.

their attendance now is better (or at least equal to) than it was at Bill Meyer Stadium, and quite frankly, is in a much better area. the Smokies are not hurting in the least bit. they fact they're the Cubs AA affiliate is even better. they don't look back for a second, i'm sure of it.

if you're a baseball fan, there's really no excuse to not be out there at least once a week.

1. Don Mattingly (my childhood idol)

Ditto. hate that he had back problems. would have loved to see him win a championship and be healthy enough to be around for the first part of their run. I'm guessing that he would be a lock for the hall if that were the case.
