Tennessee 2024 Schedule (NOW COMPLETE)

I'll have to study all the schedules before whining but, if we are really, really, good those will be some great games. Especially the home games. If we are so-so, gonna be a long tough season. I'll jump on the "we gotta get a lot better sooner vs later" with this change a coming.

Unless the defense improves and we find some receivers who can get open and catch the ball, I'm thinking 8-4 again with losses to OU, Florida, Bama and Georgia.

I think we will understand what the year will look like on September 21.

At worst, 9-3. UGA, UA, OU (though I won't be surprised if we win against any of them).

We won't lose to FL. Especially playing later finally.
The good news is that Florida plays 5 games before us. They could be 1-4 or 2-3 when they play us.

I gotta admit, this schedule seems a lot easier than I thought it was gonna be.
I mean hell, I’m not sure this is any harder than the one we just played - OU doesn’t bother me in the least, and Arky is garbage - and so is MSU

If the SEC sticks with the every other year for every team except for the 1 permanent team (Vandy for us), that means that for 2025 we will not have to play Al, Ga, and Fl. That will be really weird (but also much easier schedule). Is this correct?

Most likely 6-0 heading into Bama. Then maybe 8-1 heading into UGA.

And that’s assuming we kinda suck, which we most likely will.
I think everyone else on our schedule- save Bama and UGA suck worse than we do.

I'm liking this schedule. 3 games for the OC to mesh with Nico and his new receivers, then we come into Alabama 6-0 having dispatched OK and FLA, and brimming with confidence.

Sets us up for 9-0 heading down to Athens, same national hype as we had in 2022. Regardless of outcome, lotta argument for a bye in the playoff.

We’re losers when we play them. We lose. Let’s replace them with a marginal team to pad our win numbers.
Oh hell no. We need to beat the keebler elf a few more times before he retires, or, more likely, strokes out on the sideline

My way TOO early predictions (9-3)

  • (W) August 31: vs. Chattanooga (Knoxville)
  • (W) September 7: vs. NC State (Charlotte)
  • (W) September 14: vs. Kent State (Knoxville)
  • (L) September 21: at Oklahoma (Norman, Okla.)
  • September 28: OPEN
  • (W) October 5: at Arkansas (Fayetteville, Ark.)
  • (W) October 12: vs. Florida (Knoxville)
  • (L) October 19: vs. Alabama (Knoxville)
  • October 26: OPEN
  • (W) November 2: vs. Kentucky (Knoxville)
  • (W) November 9: vs. Mississippi State (Knoxville)
  • (L ) November 16: at Georgia (Athens, Ga.)
  • (W) November 23: vs. UTEP (Knoxville)
  • (W) November 30: at Vanderbilt (Nashville)

I see Tennessee being 10-2 next year with losses to Alabama and Georgia.

Until Saban and Smart move on, Alabama and Georgia will be the bell cows of SEC football.
