Serrano gives his pitchers way too long of a leash. You walk three straight, you need to be pulled. No excuse for that. Zero.

Yeah, I got fooled by that, too. I wrote a rant on why Cox was being left in so long--only to realize he had been gone for a while.

My bad, I said Cox was still in the game in the 7th, when he was pulled in the 6th; I was mislead by game tracker on my phone. He was pulled in the 6th after giving up a 3 run double while recording zero outs. The batter with the double later scored, so Cox gave up 4 earned runs.

He pitched very well for 5 innings, but as others stated, curious why he was not pulled after walking 3 straight with a wild pitch sprinkled in there.

Not sure it mattered. Did you notice how the bull pen got hammered?

Not on here to bash Serrano, and I k ow we lost two key starters, but come on, this is year 4, we should be better than this.. I know we're in the SEC, but still... This is just pathetic..same crap, different year.

It's his 5th year.

Agree, it's obvious he can't recruit good enough pitchers to win at the SEC level. I give him to the end of this season but if we once again finish at or near the bottom of the SEC it's time to make a change.

I completely understand why he gave Cox the longer leash. Our best chance was him finding his stuff again.

So, we just need to accept that there will always be a huge inning given up instead of making a move that could stop it? Serrano waits way too long to pull a guy and it costs his teams. He doesn't have pitchers good enough to get through SEC lineups 3 times. He's got to get the bullpen ready and use them by committee. He's way too reactive instead of proactive.

We have stunk it up in innings 5-8 in this series. We have given up 19 out of 21 runs in those innings. Horrible!!
