When my oldest son was younger (around 5 years old), I would play him YouTube videos of songs. I showed him several versions of Rocky Top, and he would always want to watch this one.

well, to me, the way I first remember it being used I was growing up...let's say late sixties...because my Mom would use it when I would go out or friends came over...as in "got a play date today"...or "going out for a play date"...but, actually haven't heard it used in years...of course I've been away from the "real" south for a while...

Trying to figure out the need for play dates and active shooter drills has turned into a conundrum for me...maybe I should just watch the game.
