Eaton, Schaefer, and Grimmer are all listed among the top 400 draft prospects, so it would just depend how high and how much $ they’re offered. None are among the top 200 draft prospects, though.

Really hope Grimmer makes it to campus. We could use a stud SS who can step in next year.

I saw one list that had Dallas and Antigua in the top 300 prospects. Dallas being a lefty might bump him some, but like you said, it's all about the money they are willing to sign for if drafted or their intention to play in college.

This is football-influenced perspective, I concede, but relevant also to baseball. I don't think this -- #1 -- helps us with Amari Jefferson '24 in either sport. Now GA baseball can at least sell "hope." 😂

These are insane numbers:

Weatherford College Athletics

28 HRs, .401 BA, 102 RBIs in 63 games…good Lord. He’s also a LHP, but with numbers like that, I have to think he’s being recruited for his bat. Maybe he can play OF?

Edit: his Perfect Game profile shows that he also plays outfield (at least in high school), so maybe that’s where he’s being projected. Also bats right handed, which we need. Canadien kid.

I guess it is possible that they'd look to DH Burke, or heaven forbid, look to replace him if he's considering entering the portal. Who knows what is going on behind closed doors. I'm with you, though...I hope it ends up being a good problem to have an additional bat and a capable body with positional versatility.
