I offer this up as general depository for UT bubble commentary.

And by the way, if UT gets in and Florida doesn't I wouldn't complain one bit. Given the last three weeks I'd day UT is the better team and deserves it more.

I also link here the bracketology matrix. The Bracket Project's Bracket Matrix - 2012

Five days ago you weren't even in the matrix, meaning that you weren't listed in any of the 75-plus or so brackets they incorporate at any given point. Three days ago you made it on, and now today you are in the second four out, and included in seven of the 79 brackets.

Definite up trend. I'd say if you make the conference finals you are going to get a solid look.

It seems like there is no clear cut team to root for between Drexel or VCU...the loser looks like will be on the bubble.

We are the 69th team according to lunardi

A loss by any of the last four in and we are in.

Lunardi isn't on the committee.

My guess is there will be artificial pressure to make it to the conference finals. If you don't people will say "They had their chance." If you do, I think you get in.

Either way, it's going to be close.

With a northwestern, Texas, seton hall or Xsvier loss and 1 more win I think we are pretty firmly in.

And as I said 2 wins were a lock. I'd bet anything on it!

Root VCU.

They are more likely to get an at large than Drexel would if they lost.

Drexel won the league and has a better RPI, I would say that Drexel needs to win. Drexel is getting in the Tourney win or lose but VCU is on the bubble for sure without winning. CAA is a really good league and some are saying Mason still has a chance.

I'll still be nearly vomiting on Selection Sunday if we win 1 and lose to Vandy...even if one of the other teams lose their 1st game...I can't just can not feel comfortable with that. If we win 2...I'll have no regrets with this team even if they're snubbed.

I think UT is better than Florida, at least at the moment. And that is not just because of the season sweep. I just think overall you are playing better.

I still don't think you guys have anything to worry about on getting in. You guys should be a lock on making it.

Drexel has a RPI of 63, a loss and they'll be around 70. That'll be tough to get in on.

Meanwhile VCU has a RPI around 50.

Oh, I know. We might get dumped down to like a 7 or an 8 seed if we are one and done in the SEC tourney, though. As is we are riding a three game losing streak.

You are correct, my bad I am not sure what I was looking at with the RPI, but Drexel is a good team and they handled a good ODU team yesterday. CAA needs 2 teams, League is to good not to get 2. Drexel winning league has to carry some weight but tonight games will be big for both schools.

Either losing team will still be bubble they will just fall to probably the next 4 out.

Thankfully for Tennessee we are the next in according to lunardi.

In the SEC (currently with five bids), keep an eye on the Tennessee Volunteers. As of now, I have them just outside of the bracket, among our First Four Out. But the Vols have won four straight and their win Saturday over Vanderbilt makes them serious players for one of the final at-large bids. They'll need to perform in the SEC tournament, however, where they draw the winner of Ole Miss and Auburn. That's a must-win for Tennessee. A second win -- likely against Vanderbilt or Mississippi State -- will mean much more.

Coach Martin is very obviously not taking anything for granted here, but he doesn't seem shy today about saying he feels that Tennessee is an NCAA tournament team. Not that he wouldn't feel better with a win or two in New Orleans, but it seems from Martin's point of view, a 10-6 record in the SEC and a 8-2 record in their last 10. He also added that having Jarnell Stokes on the squad in the second half is equivalent to getting a injured player back.

From TOS.

Also, no one should rely on Lunardi's predictions. For someone whose job revolves around bracketology, he's been average at best at it the last few years. The guy who runs CollegeHoopsNet.com has been the most accurate (on average) since 2009, I think.

If you're looking for the best bracketologist that works for a major company, Andy Glockner at Sports Illustrated is your best bet. He's beaten Lunardi and Jerry Palm the last two years.
