Also, no one should rely on Lunardi's predictions. For someone whose job revolves around bracketology, he's been average at best at it the last few years. The guy who runs CollegeHoopsNet.com has been the most accurate (on average) since 2009, I think.

If you're looking for the best bracketologist that works for a major company, Andy Glockner at Sports Illustrated is your best bet. He's beaten Lunardi and Jerry Palm the last two years.
He's the second most accurate. The most accurate is the guy over at Bracketville. He has Tennessee in at the moment. Bracketville

As for Florida - we're not playing well, but there's no way that we'll fall below a 7 seed imo. With a run in the SECT we could get up to a 4 seed.

Tennessee only has 17 wins according to the NCAA committee. One win does not get us in but two does.

I think Tennessee should be in regardless of how they do in the SEC tournament. Tennessee has 4 bad losses early in the season. Not one of those teams would come close to beating Tennessee today. Tennessee started with a new team and new coach. That should be considered. The second place team in the SEC and out of the SEC East that includes Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Florida should be in. Any other second place team in a major conference would be in. I believe that Tennessee is deserving of a bid. The fact that they are not a lock is a slap in the face of the SEC. Of course, I am a little bias.

Alabama finished #2 last year and didn't make the dance.

Alabama was out of the West which was very weak last year. Tennessee finished second out of the East. There is a big difference. I just do not see how you can take a Big East team seeded 10th (Seton Hall)
with a losing conference record and the 7th seeded Big Ten team (Northwestern) before Tennessee. I have not watched either of these teams play, but I would like Tennessee's chances against either one.

Did not play Kentucky, Vandy or Florida twice. The West side of the league sucks and has sucked for quite some time. Tennessee deserves to be in. Heck, I will even say that Bama deserved to be in last year.

The problem was bama last year rpi was around 75.

If Tennessee wins one game IMO they deserve to be in. 2 games and they are a lock and just improving seeding IMO.

Bama would have been #2 overall.

I believe what he was saying is that they were in the West, so their schedule was a lot easier. Just like this year, they didn't have to play Kentucky, Florida, Vandy twice. Also, the only reason they were left out was their 80 RPI.

I know that's what he was saying but they still would have been 2.

Just like if all our teams were bad this year we played we still would have Jane been 2.

Several brackets I have seen put us in the play in game but for the 12th seed position. Is that possible?

one bracket I saw had us playing St Joe's for the 12th Seed against Wichita St as the 5th seed.
