Honest question, whats considered a lot of money for tickets? I’m reading OSU boards and seeing a lot of folks complaining about tickets being around $300. Do I consider that cheap? No. Do I consider it within the realms of normal for a college football game of this magnitude? Absolutely! I know there are tickets out there for $2k but there’s a lot of consternation over $250-$400 resell values. That’s been the going rate for dang near every SEC game at Neyland starting in 2022. For a playoff game at a venue we’ve never been to, I would think UT fans would call it a steal.I think attendance is going to come down to two things - money and weather.
Folks on forums are diehards who generally have the highest interest in attending. But for everyone on the fence, it really doesn't matter if you are a local or visitor. This game is the week before Christmas and expenses will be something a lot of people will naturally be factoring in. The fact that there is major gouging taking place doesn't help here with motivation to travel and attend.
Then the weather is also going to be a consideration, even for locals. This isn't an October game. This isn't about claims of it being colder here than Tn. But even locals on the fence are going to be asking if they really want to pay all this money to sit in 20 degree weather when they can have a fun experience at a sports bar or have a watch-party at home with the TV. This is a new type of game in that its the first ever playoff game. But it's not the finals.
I got mine for $325...Honest question, whats considered a lot of money for tickets? I’m reading OSU boards and seeing a lot of folks complaining about tickets being around $300. This is like an election map. How many seats can we flip from scarlet to orange? Every extra orange seat is losing for OSU.He’s not concerned. Smart people know the right buttons to push to be proactive and prevent a problem.
It’s a subtle challenge to OSU fans to show up in force.
This!!! UT fans didn't find out the donor code and leak it to bring 5-7K fans. Right now the OSU fans are pretty depressed with that MI loss again this year. I 100% could see this looking more like a semi neutral site game. Kind of like a UGA in the Benz atmosphere. Yeah the majority will be OSU. Although 20K UT fans would not shock me in the least. We all have to remember that honestly this is the first year that UT has been relevant as far as a title run goes outside of 22.I have never seen so much buzz about fans buyng tickets for an away game in my life. The AD of Ohio State is not freaking out because we are bringing 7500.
