Tennessee Football is screwed

If we wind up with Strong we'll be doomed to being a mediocre program or worse. Same pretty much goes if we hire Fedora, Davis, Jones, Golden, Smart or Fisher. There are only 3 coach possibilities out there that give us a chance to regain our status as a traditional perennial Top 15 program. Those coaches are Gundy, Petrino, and Gruden. If we get stuck with anybody outside of those three, we might as well follow ETSU's lead and drop football. Either that or join an easier conference.

While you are looking at your crystal ball, could you tell the rest of us who is getting hired? I'd also like to know the winning lottery numbers for the next drawing.

Relax the sky isn't falling. Give the guy a chance if he is hired. I think he will do just fine.

Gruden still is not coming and its a very good hire
And Petrino is trash and has ruin every program he has been associated with, that hire would cost UT $$$$ and NCAA probation

...You're basically trying to say that you think Charlie Strong is garbage. Need I say, Sugar Bowl?

You people realize he has obviously made Louisville better right? He also won the championship in his conference this year. I'm so lost. Why is this a bad hire?

I lived in GA for the last five years and I thought they had a warped sense of their team...some of our fans are down right embarrassing

Because the Big East sucks and Strong's recruiting sucks. He won't stand a chance of competing with UGA, FLA, BAMA, or LSU.

Oh yea...we're screwed alright. Just ask Lousiville how bad they've had it this year. Last I looked they're heading to The Sugar Bowl. What was that huge bowl we played in the last time...that be the Music City Bowl.

And how Florida ever even made with Strong as a DC is beyond me. What was their record and where did those defenses ranked under Strong? How many first round drafts on defense from Florida? How is he even in coaching today is a total mystery. Who in their right mind would want him as ny coach?
