One thing is for sure...Vic Wharton, T.K.jr, and Jalen Hurd will give 999% every game regardless of the outcome and what is on the line....unlike some past players recently under Dooley.

Then we now have a HC that knows how to game plan and adjust his game plan/play calling during the game.....unlike Dooley....that alone is worth 2 wins a season.

I never said he hasn't coached a game yet, I'm saying the freaking season hasn't started yet so it's a little premature to say he has turned around the whole program and saved Tennessee football. There is still 8 months until national signing day so things can change. Be patient. We're on the right track but it's way to early to say he is saving Tennessee football.

Spoke with Tyrone Nix, former DC of USCjr last night. He said there are some nervous folks around the SEC right now. Said he has watched Hurd play several times... quote "dude is freaking awesome".

None of this would be possible if it weren't for James Franklin. We owe him so much for whipping Dooley last year. Still waiting to see about butch. He has already proven to be better for UT than Dooley, but that may not be much. If it weren't for the idiot Franklin, we would not be back on our rise to the top right now!

Sorry to be that guy, but not yet they haven't. Gotta win some games first. However I like all the optimism.

Very much so. ..

The only thing Butch has done so far is further prove how bad Dooley really sucked. It wouldn't have taken much effort by any half competent coach to have success in recruiting so far.

As it has been said it all boils down to wins and losses. You have to have great players to win consistently in this league. He's off to a good start in that regard, but is far from proving he can actually coach in the SEC.

I'm saying another 3 years and that's provided they continue to recruit like this and have on field results. It's no guarantee.
