Tennessee Football Will Be Forever Indebted To...

Butch Jones, Vic Wharton, Todd Kelly, and Jalen Hurd. The Butcher and the 3 Amigos have single-handedly turned around our program.

I believe what he's saying is that you have to start somewhere and that great recruiting is the best place to start. Butch has already proven that he can win because he won at the other two schools. He is getting top talent so he can win at Tennessee. The two previous coaches had not proven they could win when they came here so Butch is ahead of them. The three recruits mentioned above are trying to help get the best classes possible to put us back on the top.

In a strange way we are indebted to gruden. He acted interested, because he's an attention whore, only to eventually reject us, lowering all of our expectations. With butch coming in we weren't expecting a lot but he's really delivered so far with his energy and recruiting. So thank you Jon gruden...for being a total douch bad that allowed his rep to totally trash us even though he could've killed any speculation in a classy way by simply saying he wasn't interested. You paved the way for us to be pleasantly suprised with butch

Brandon Powell quote. "Powell said that the peer recruiting is something you don't see at other schools --- at least not as much as the Vols are doing it.
"Here it's different. It's like five of them that committed already. They're all out they're trying to get me to pull the trigger."

I think that this effort and attitude by Wharton, Hurd, and Kelly Jr., etc. has spread through a great many potential comittments. There has always been some efforts like this over the years, but it looks like they have taken it to the next level. It's like they have formed a specific plan, and are following that plan to perfection. Very organized. It's great to see such enthusiasm and it has become contagious.

Nathan Daugherty. The man who hired Robert Reese Neyland. Vanderbilt and black jerseys have been totally insignificant since then.

Hired him as an ROTC and...(I believe) Tennis coach too.

Well played, sir.

John Ward. He WAS Tennessee football to me as a boy and countless other Vol fans. When he used to travel on Big Orange Caravans he got more applause, better response than the coaches and players. Sure do miss him.

Still too soon?

Yes.

I understand the circle jerk excitement right now, but fact of the matter is none of these recruits have played a single down of Div I football and Jones crrently has a losing record at UT.

When we actually beat Florida, UGA, and/or Bama, give this another bump.
