Sonesta Simply Suites- Knoxville check in Friday, check out Sunday ...... $265. I'm not going but I do know how to be thrifty.

Yeah, that's one I've stayed at before. Not a 4 star but more than adequate. There are reasonably priced places to stay if you don't expect a 4 star downtown hotel for under a $100 a night.

Well, if you wait to the day of arrival to book a downtown hotel, I guess that's what you get.

I booked hotels for this season about 10 months ago and haven't paid more than $120 a night for the Strawberry Plains LaQuinta

they have come down from a month ago. They were $1699 then....
