TENNESSEE Has THE MOST INSANE Backup QB in College Football

Was it a myth that Heupel replaced him two games in because of his play and he hasn’t played a meaningful minute since then? This whole discussion is ridiculous. Yes, he looks improved albeit against back ups. He still has a lot to prove when the spotlight comes on against first string opposition. He’ll get that chance next season and I’m not going to pronounce judgement until I see it. And that’s not negative. It’s the real world. Anything else is just speculation.

Not a myth that HH was the best and deserved the job. What does that have to do with the real myth that he ran out of bounds? Why would he wait to do that 13 yards after he crossed the LOS at the 21 to allow the defender a free shot at the 8?

Hey Delmar, Missouri had their starters in.

Milton will be just fine! I trust Heupel!

I am hopeful for him next season, he will have a different mix of the tangibles and intangibles involved in playing the position. Whoever grabs the position will have a different team around him and that could go either way in the interior line and with the skill guys. Picking up after a successful year in the system should help. All the lights came on for HH, Milton TBD. But the number of highlight plays as a percentage of his total snaps this year is what it is. The lack of debatable snaps too. Don't know how anyone can have a negative trendline for him with the available plays he has had to view this year.

Well, in his limited playing time so far this season, Milton has been dropping dines with great touch. Not so much last year. If Heupel can get him where he reads the coverages as well as Hooker does and sees the field well, we’re going to really enjoy next season as well. Hope we are able to pull Hooker after the first half vs SCar and Vandy and let Milton go to work.

The 75 yard bomb... No problem!
The 15 yard crossing route.....fingers crossed!
GBO!
And we pray that the WR's don't lose a finger on that 15 yard crossing route. The guy has a slingshot attached to his shoulder. It's like trying to catch Nolan Ryan barehanded.

It's tough to say which is the best, but the one that starts at 0:30 almost amuses me. Milton doesn't even look like he's straining; he throws a 55 yard pass but looks like he's playing backyard throw-and-catch.

I managed to see Acuña in his Triple-A rehab assignment this year, and thought the same of him. He nearly threw like 4 guys out at first or second from the right field warning track.

Solid strength meets perfect mechanics.

Watch his feet. He was out of bounds before the shove came. It wasn't really much of a shove.

2nd request for your screenshot where you watched his feet step out of bounds before he was contacted. TICK TICK TICK

I would even accept a pic of the official waving his arms before contact.

I hear people saying TN won’t be as good next year…I’m not so sure about that. Milton trained up in our offense and more in control along with Sampson and an improved defense…game on

Physically, he's a beast. Having been in the military for 37 years though, I don't believe people who make poor decisions under fire can be fixed. He may not last any longer as a starter the next time than he did the last time. This year we have not seen him in more stress than practice, and I guess he is a good at practicing. Lamaleva is coming into a real opportunity.
I don’t think we know yet which version we will have. You could be right, but there is hope.

1st off thank you for your service. Now to the decision making point. Dudes don't just walk into the military and become a General on day 1. You gotta work up to that point. There have been thousands of QB's who made bad decisions under pressure and they all tend to improve with time on task. In fact All QB's make bad decisions under pressure that's why putting pressure on them is so important. 3yrs in the system and I don't see why he can't improve. I thought his problem was more about a connection with the WR's than just being a bad decision maker. The ball wasn't in harm's way nearly as much as it was overthrown.

OK, let's see if this thread is accurate or just hype. I've never been a Milton fan but he's had time to get coached up since his debacle at Mich and his not so good debut with us last yr. Let's see what he's got. It'd be nice if the defense can contribute too

It looks like we have 2 scholarship QBs who may be able to play Saturday

I’m hoping for the best but Milton needs to show us he make the short passes. I would like to see him RUN more. And I’d like to see our D play balls out or dropped as the South Carolina guy said. Go Vols HH Vol4Life
