Tennessee has turned the corner.

If we can get any kind of O-line play and have all of our weapons healthy we can hang in any game. Might lose because of inexperience, but we are capable when healthy and next year should be a good thing.

I agree with you there. Both Alabama and U.T. will have all they can handle if they play the 3rd Saturday in October. Alabama will be beat up after playing Texas A&M earlier that day in Tuscaloosa, and we will be after playing Ole Miss that same day in Oxford. Then both teams will have to travel back to Knoxville to play a late game.

Good one old man

Simply put, we were an offensive line away from possibly winning that game. I think the line gels in 2-3 weeks and we upset some teams.
I just don't get this. Our O line needs to put on about 30 pounds of muscle per man if we're gonna win at trench warfare. That ain't gonna happen in 2-3 weeks. It might happen before the 2015 season kicks off.

Hey, I guess they're right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I'll be right back. Don't you go dying on me.
Not that slow behind the wheel. I still own two 45 year old four speed muscle cars.
One thing that you and Nationdom may want to consider is that you 2 will be 64 one day, unless of course you die before you get there. One other thing is that 64 doesn't seem old at all to me. I'm still having fun.

I said upset some teams, not dominate. I still think we go 7-5/6-6, but from what I saw in that game, on many plays, better communication alone would have saved a sack, or gave Worley enough time to complete a pass. Run blocking isn't likely to improve much this season, but pass blocking will.
What I'm getting at, is the defense played really well for the first time in years, and we have a good stable of young players at every position that played beyond their years. I'm excited for the future.

I hear ya, almost same age, almost (53), but was just having fun( i is a famous quote from the movie Dumb and Dumber bw). Have a 63 1/2 Mustang convertible and and a 69 Olds 444 convertible. Love them cars. Also have a fully restored 1968 Aston Martin hard back, amazing car, took 15 years to restore.

No Alabama? I'm still not sold on how good OleMiss is.

Right now I got them 4th behind aTm, Auburn and Ole Miss. If they play well against the Gators, I'll move them up. If FL defense gives saban kiffy fits, then I won't. Time to see just how good sims is.

I said at the beginning of the season that UT should go 6-6 or 7-5 this season. The performance against Oklahoma didn't change that outlook for me.

Regarding having a chance against UGA, USCjr, and UF you're correct, UT has a chance in all of those. They just need to go win 1 or 2 of them. Competing in big games is the 1st step....now they need to go get it done on the field.

And I still hold on to my 7-5 prediction as well.

And for me turning the corner is a winning record and a bowl game. Small victories that prove to the team they can regain the former position among the elite with a little more hard work and a lot of patience.

I'm 44 and next year my son will enter grade school.

Dont go giving my boss any ideas.

Gotcha :good!:

I have Grandkids older than my youngest son. Both of my older kids (First wife died of brain cancer a few years ago) are old enough to be his parents. Wife now is 18 years younger than me.

I don't think we've turned the corner at all. I think we're approaching the corner at a pretty steady pace, but we're not there yet. We will have turned the corner if we win 2 games we're not supposed to, win 7-8 games this year and get to and win a bowl game.

I have been married for 26 years, and my wife is 16 years younger than I am.

I don't feel like we've turned the corner yet. We have reached the corner and have worked up the courage to peek around it? Maybe.

haters go ahead and hate.. it's what you do. But our Vols took a major step toward a bowl. Now we just have to play well in conference games, then we'll have a trip to Nashville or Tampa or Atlanta for a bowl and you will all be begging for a seat on the bandwagon.

i'm onboard now. Train's moving out boys... next stop ATHENS, GA -- home of inbreds and #FireMarkRicht
