It's crazy to me that Grateful Dead's Tennessee Jed is not a huge song for the Vols played during games. Why is it not?! I think heard I've the Pride of the Southland play it before, but just can't believe it's not a household song for all Vols fan. Go Vols!

Meh, I always preferred the Stones. The Beatles were a bit "full of themselves". The Stones were always more of a "I'm gonna get drunk and steal your woman" kind of vibe.

I have played guitar for 30+ years and listen to a vast array of music. While not my favorite band, I have a great deal of respect for what the Grateful Dead did. Dead and Co with Mayer at the helm is next level.

Tennessee Jed is in my tailgate playlist, for sure. Haters should watch a full show with an open mind.

And, obviously, I'm not a stoner nor eat acid.

It was when I was in school between 07-11. It was always played in a mixup with “back where I come from” between the 3rd and 4th quarters. Great song imo

Some have a short attention span and songs over 3 minutes confuse them.

I've always thought that Copperhead Road should be a part of the game some how. It is a song about the region and even mentions Knoxville in the lyrics. I turn it up every time it comes on.
