Too late, just put one up. The football crowd usually show up after a loss. Let’s not let our opponent stop our Game Day Thread tradition.I was thinking wait til after the game and we could, I don't know, talk about the game as opposed to hosting the bitter football posters spewing venom and derision. Maybe I'll just make a drinking game of every time the same ones say the same things.
Skimming the game thread I think you were on to something based on the comments so farI was thinking wait til after the game and we could, I don't know, talk about the game as opposed to hosting the bitter football posters spewing venom and derision. 2 elite starters and a "strong shooting/defensive guard" sounds like 3 elite starters to me (Would you call either Spear or Puckett a strong shooting/defensive guard ?).
You're asking for a lot.
Do you think your goal can be reasonably accomplished ?
It's been that way for several years. It doesn't sit well with me. If I pay for a certain seat, I should be able to sit in that seat for the whole tournament. For the very few on here that will be buying tickets and attending our first tournament game on Thursday, I just noticed in my tournament ticket folder that both sessions Thursday are general admission, despite the tickets having seat locations listed on them, so don't worry about location when buying tickets for that session.
Why do you pay for assigned seats to early games? Why not general admits for the early games where attendance is sparse and you can sit anywhere for 5$, then assigned seats for the semis and finals? It's been that way for several years. It doesn't sit well with me. If I pay for a certain seat, I should be able to sit in that seat for the whole tournament.
Love that we jumped up 4 spots after being competitive with South Carolina. Unfortunately Oklahoma dropped a couple spots to 27 and Alabama down to 28, so our chances of having a top 25 win by season’s end are slipping. Our RPI SOS is 1, but our NET SOS (which I would imagine is what the committee uses) is 11, jumped up 8 spots after playing South Carolina again.Tennessee 33 Net, 25 RPI, and number one Strength of Schedule. Seems to land us as an 8th seed right now through most that predicted brackets. Seems quite certain that two tourney wins will move you up to a seven. A loss Thursday probably a nine would ok to drop to a ten if we lose that game. Win it and lose to Bama 8 looks to still be it and even if nine your still in the same situation.
My only issue with her is lack of aggression at times and demanding the ball, if she took at least 20 shots per game, she would average 25ppg at a minimum. It's this part for me:
In match-ups against ranked teams, Jackson has elevated her play even more, putting up 23.8 ppg. and 10.3 rpg. in those contests. Over UT's last five outings, which have included a pair of meetings with No. 1 South Carolina and one with No. 9 LSU, the Big Orange star has averaged 23.0 ppg. and 7.4 rpg. while shooting 50 percent from the field and 75 percent from the charity stripe.
If we had her in those early ranked games, what a different world we'd be in. It's funny we've thought of RJ as not having as good a year but all her numbers are equal to or better than last year. Probably bc she had a couple of truly awful games, TAM and Ala that hurt us so badly. She also went on a turnover spree for a few games that was pretty ugly. But it all shows how much was expected of her when she came back, how high standards are for her and how much the team's success depended on hers.
Whatever has happened before, RJ is def on a roll now, really has been since the Arky game. If she can keep playing like this in post season, and she's always played well in the SEC tourney, good things might happen to our ragtag little team of misfits.

Like an "impact coach" .. An "impact player" has to learn when to take their moments. My only issue with her is lack of aggression at times and demanding the ball, if she took at least 20 shots per game, she would average 25ppg at a minimum.
Michael Jordan is the Goat and my favorite player of all time, Michael Jordan led vocally and by example and it started in practice, he would challenge and motivate his teammates in practice and that translated into on court success. Rickea is more like a Tim Duncan that leads by example, but Tim had 2 big time competitors on his team as in Finals MVP Tony Parker and Ginobili, we don’t have that, and that’s what’s lacking. But with that being said I still have all the faith in the world in Rickea Jackson.IMichael Jordan
Early on in his NBA time,, people wanted him to score 40,,,but didn't want to see him win.
It was only when MJ started focusing on making those around him better, that they became "Da Bulls"
Kea knows in order for her to have the best chance at a good post-run, she has to believe in and push her teammates.
She's got em right where they need to be...hope everybody's gets on the same page,,,,
She's where she needs to be right now...She's ballin'
This article is/was click bait. Dawn meant "a" top pick, not "the" top pick. People who don't like CC took this and ran with it. Almost every SEC coach said the same thing post game about RJ, lol esp the ones who had no clue how to stop her.Wonder if the Fever are listening
