So close btw Rickea and Jewel, RIckea did have 9 reb each game and 8 assists against SC. I think it came down to a lifetime achievement in the SEC award for Rickea.

Traveling this week for work, so I appreciate the heads up so I can download and listen. Jasmine has so much heart (or as the kids might say, has that dawg in her).

I'll never forget the image of JP getting hard jostled when SC players ran onto the court in celebration, and her looking startled but just walking away, head up, not a word. Rickea walking her and Jewel off the court like their big sister.

Especially hit after the crap stains left all over that same court by LSU/SC the next day.

I’m still so upset by it, which is why I’m so impressed by them. Someone was trying to tell me a funny story about Kamilla and her mom celebrating the shot, and I was extremely clear how little I want to hear about South Carolina’s joy after what happened in the final. I just couldn’t be prouder of them in a season that has gone so terribly wrong in at least three ways that I can count.

Me too, I was just giving myself an "it's only sports" lecture earlier bc it's crazy how raw I still am after 5 days. Was glad the "fight" changed the narrative in a hurry, but still way too many celebration tweets and videos for me.

Ugh you had to bring up the shaking hands thing. So Carolina didn't, even though our sobbing team was lined up waiting. One of their fartherest bench players did. I know they were just excited, but they dogpiled and ran off the floor. Don't know if Dawn and Kellie shook hands, I was only semi-conscious right then. Dawn was swept quickly to the tv platform.

I saw that Tessa was the only one who shook hands. I kinda give them a pass. It was very emotional for them. At the same time, it was very emotional for the Tennessee players...probably even more so.
