Tennessee Lady Vol News

I absolutely love how confident and straightforward Coach Caldwell was in today’s media interview discussing the elite recruiting class.

As a new staff, the LV coaches have set a mark in recruiting over a 7 month period that will stand for a very long time.

The class is special and now they are moving forward to the 2025 spring/summer transfer portal window
to fill the final spots.

Coach Lazo is on the recruiting trail watching the elite 2025 signees. Deniya Prawl and Jaida Civil are in action in a tourney. Prawl #6 player according to 247Sports and Civil #13 according to 247Sports. As Coach Caldwell stated they have the potential to instantly become the foundation of LV basketball and leave their mark for four years.
Coach Lazo has already turned the page to the 2026 class! No spam. No fakey fakey recruiting.
GBO!

And I hate to say it, but Ms. Campbell's dress gives her the unfortunate appearance of someone who has accidentally fallen onto the public bathroom floor and forgot to brush herself off before joining her date on ol" "Broke-down Mountain." Either that or like someone who was "toilet-papered" on Halloween and is still wearing the same outfit.
Don’t hide the envy. Goodness. lol

Lazo is in Florida watching Agot Makeer and Lady Vol signees
Wouldn't Makeer be the cherry on top. I know she doesn't have us on her list, but a late signing period surprise and lady vol nation's heads would explode. Makeer has all those attributes KC is looking for in a player.. long lean and can stretch defenses to the Arc.

just watch her highlights …she is a perfect fit

One of the things CKC mentioned early on was that first, players have to unlearn some basketball habits to play in her system.

I wonder if she found that her "higher rated" Lady Vols, compared to the players she coached at Glenville State and Marshall, have been faster, or slower, to unlearn/learn? Has anyone heard her field a question on that?

If she found these older, better developed players took longer to unlearn and pick up the new... she might see reason to value freshmen more highly than transfers. On the other hand, once she witnesses the physicality of SEC play, she might balance that with an older, more physically developed "enforcer" in the portal.

That's a terrific question. I'd love to know, but I wonder if she'd even want to answer that. The answer could bruise some egos.

And yes, I'm also excited to see how she reacts/adjusts to the SEC after she sees it. Tubner and Lazo have, I'm sure, done their best to prepare her. But hearing about it, and even watching film, doesn't do the same thing as standing on the sidelines watching up close how fast and strong so many players in our league really are.

I think we can feel confident she'll handle it as well as she has everything else since she got off the plane on that first day. I love knowing that. 🥹

I just sent that question to Cora Hall
