Lets hope the SEC record gets much improved with these last 6 games and the selection committee takes the strength of schedule of the SEC and LV's close losses in consideration with their seeding. Hosting 1st - 2nd rds would be huge.

Last year's team finished with a 10-6 SEC record and tied for fourth in the SEC.

Currently, the Lady Vols have a 4-6 SEC record and are currently 9th in the SEC standings. What kind of final conference record/standing do you guys project for this year's team?

It's true the LVs are in an almost identical position as last year regarding touney seedings. Also the achingly close losses to top teams is sickeningly familiar.

But CKCs got something in both pockets that makes her situation way different - the UConn win in one and a fantastic recruiting class in the othe.

So the two years are really just two ships passing in the night, going opposite directions (we hope).

Good points. Last year‘s team had one great player that was largely wasted. Add her to this team and they are winning more of the close games.

Amore is super smart though. Beating our press with pass ahead especially to the center of the floor often uncovered or with a defender that lacks quickness has been an issue.

Strack will make finishing at the rim hard for Spearman and others and we’ve depended a lot on that lately. Will be a difficult game I suspect.

Add to that, we could finish 10-6 again this year, but with NET #3 Texas and #16 Oklahoma added to the mix, who weren't in the SEC last season.

This year, right now, there are an absurd 9 teams in the NET top 25 from the SEC. The level of difficulty is WAY up this season.

Every game from here on out is a potential trap if the Lady Vols aren't focused. Seriously, every one.

We are going to need some outside shots to fall for us to spread them out. We need them to be chasing the ball if we aren't turning them over on fast break. Rebounding will be especially important, Ole Miss beat them on the boards I believe. Kentucky was 1 and done most the time.

That poor baby. I had been so impressed by all the hard work she was putting this W offseason, 'cause she was definitely making some smooth moves in the videos she posted. Her body looked like she was ready to take, and keep, a starting spot in the lineup and play 32-plus minutes a game.

I am sick over this. Gawd.

Florida is like Ole Miss in that they are capable of surprising wins, so our players better not take them lightly. But Kentucky, with their ability to defend the lane and get blocks every other dang time down the court, is who really worries me on the road.

Hopefully Amoore will forget to bring her best game. Strack is a load, and Key has really come along. Anyone thinking the Cats will be a fairly easy win for us is probably going to be shocked when it comes down to the wire.

The key to winning may be staying out of foul trouble and hoping they GET into foul trouble.

The Key to that win is guarding Georgia Amoore better than we have guarded Kailyn Gilbert in our last 2 outings with LSU. Got to get her out of rhythm early and contain the others and our offense should be golden in this one. The offensive rebounding disparity between Ole Miss and Kentucky was also telling and I think we are one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country.

I was shocked at the offensive rebounding disparity. Kentucky is HUGE compared to Ole Miss and at one point in the fourth when I tuned in it was 25-2 on the oboards in favor of Ole Miss.
