Now it wouldve been something to see wright small and Sampson lined up behind Joe in the wish bone. Would it work? Most likely not. Would’ve looked good though

Banks wants to rush plays especially on 3rd and long and to do this your DB'S have to be able to play man.

They was the reason for the 2022 south Carolina loss. Tennessee should have been up and Hendon never would have got hurt and Tennessee would have been in the playoffs.

We should be getting a new DB coach. Martinez contract is up and he wanted to retire. That's what I heard anyway.

Inherited most and took who wouldn't run away from possible sanctions with the rest.

Who says their evaluations were missed? When this staff took over, they were all they had. Takes a few cycles of recruiting to develop new ones to replace the existing ones.

Those guys don't have any idea what they are talking about.

This guy does a pretty good job. And hum...New DBs with a months work and mostly played man today...And even some tight press man. I'd say he knew what he was talking about.

Sitting back in soft zone is clearly not the answer either. Just like everything else, you need a defense that can do it all, zone, man, a healthy mixture of both, all while disguising the coverage and still getting to the ball in a hurry. Most importantly you need to develop cover skills. Something that has been lacking both in capable personnel and coaching imo

We did a pretty good job of that today...It was good to see us in a lot of man coverage today with the young ones.

Yep...They had way more time to prove it and couldn't do it. Move on

It won't run its curse until you have guys who can cover one on one. Until then that's the go to defense.

I'd say that's changing finally.
