Tennessee @ Mississippi State (October 13, 2012)

The SEC East is terrible and y'all are having problems even competing in it. We play in the West and Mullen Is one of the best coaches in NCAA right now. It doesn't take a genius to realize how much better we are.

Best coach = 21-17 with 2 wins over ranked opponents in 3 years.

Mullen is one of the best coaches in the NCAA right now? How many SEC championships and how many National Championships has he won? Our coach is not the greatest in the world we know. But to say Mullen is one of the best coaches in the NCAA is just blind homerism. It is going to be a close game, neither team will blow the other out.

Good post. I agree with all of it 100%...

Mullen may/may not be a great coach. Not something you can adequately judge in 3-4 years in Starkville. We're still optimistic, especially now that recruiting is starting to improve a bit. Spurrier was 35-28 through 5 years in a similarly difficult situation @ USCe, a win total Mullen should match. Spurrier has changed the whole culture of that program now into perennial contenders. We're hoping Mullen can do the same here, given enough time...

Going to be a great game against you guys. One I'm really starting to look forward to! Very interesting match up with our DBs vs your WRs! :hi:

I hope you still have your 2 and we still have our 5+

Two-thirds of the world is covered by water. The other third is covered by Johnthan Banks.

Banks is good. Excited to see him play this year.

We're expecting big things from Darius Slay this year across from Banks, although he's flying under the radar right now. He was a late JUCO enrolee last year(same thing as Patterson, just at the CB position). He made big strides forward late last year and has continued to progress in the spring and early in fall camp. He has top 3 round potential and intangibles(has taken Broomfield's spot, who will be taken in the later rounds). Broomfield is solid, not great...alot better against the run than in coverage(has been moved to SS early in camp). Nickoe Whitley will be one of the first 3-4 FS off the board in 2014(if he doesn't go early). He's one of the hardest hitters we've ever had, but is also flying under the radar a little bit coming off his acchiles injury last season.

Banks, Slay, and Whitley all have early round potential...Broomfield will be a late-round pick. Dee Arrington has a ton of upside as well, he's just young(true soph).

Going to be a great matchup that I'm looking forward to! Really interested to see how we gameplan to deal with you guys. Will we try to go man with Slay and Banks outside? Or will we go soft zone like we played last year and rely on red zone stops? Will Autry and Eulls get pressure? So many questions make this a very intriguing match up for us...

Banks is better than tyrann.

He and amerson will be the two best corners we see all year. Our offense should be able to handle most corners. If we can run the ball on miss st, I don't see how they stop us. At all. But it'll be interesting to see how their o looks this year. Big game for us. Can't just not show up that week if we're having a good year.

Don't know who those 3 clowns are but they sure don't look very athletic and I can't wait to expose them.

Don't know who this B.C. clown is, but he (she) doesn't sound very intelligent........ and he's already been exposed.
